Why is the OP a troll?

I think it's impressive running a marathon pregnant or not. Not sure what's prompted the first response Confused maybe I've missed something.

I think if you're fit and active anyway then it's great to be able to keep that up during pregnancy, I probably wouldn't advise anyone take up marathon running for the first time when pregnant.

I'm absolutely not a troll.

I think she's great and quite inspirational, I don't think yabu to wish more pregnant women were like this as long as you don't wish all were like this.

Well done on anyone who's able to keep active during pregnancy, but I wouldn't say it's a "good example". Implies that people with pregnancy difficulties are "bad".

Well, she is amazing ...but it's kind of a lot to aim for unless you're already spectacularly fit.

I personally think anyone attempting to train and run a marathon during a pregnancy is bat-shit crazy and possibly endangering their baby. But that's a lot different to keeping fit by running or long-distance walking whilst pregnant.

Mike Oxrard. Why is the O.P a troll and why the bad language. Okay we're adults and we can handle and nor is mumsnet against swearing. However is there really any need for cursing..x

Hi Lisa Express. I think it's amazing for a pregnant women to do this at 7 months or indeed at any time during her pregnancy. I am no expert but I wouldn't mind betting she is having a boy as women who are pregnant with boys always seem to have so much energy. I have a girl and I had no energy at all and I could hardly walk never mid run at 7 months. xx

Ah it's a 10k not a marathon. Still hugely impressive.

Well it would be lovely if we all could but here in the real world nature dictates otherwise.

I was ill in my first pregnancy, partly due to an as yet undiagnosed disorder and struggled to even walk around a supermarket. During my second pregnancy, I had placenta previa and couldn't even vacuum. Good for her, but I'll not take it as a gold standard of how pregnant women should behave, tyvm.

I'm still a bit Confused as to why you think she's a 'good example.' Compared to what?

I couldn't walk, let alone fucking run when I was pregnant with DS2. I was stuck on crutches or in a wheelchair with very severe SPD, that I am still disabled from 16.5 years post natal.

YABU.

Ps on average childbirth takes the same calories as running a marathon.
