aaaaaargh. I am screaming here because if I do so in real life I'll scare the neighbours.

Autumn that is an idea. I could just put out pasta (or 'pasas' according to DD) and not bother ever again.

You are wrong. Teenagers at far far far worse! DS17 won't eat anything that doesnt contain large amounts of fat, orange breadcrumbs or ketchup. He won't eat fish. He won't eat veg. He doesn't eat fruit. Everything I cook is vomit. And he will go without rather than even taste something new. He can spot hidden vegetables as well!

"The food our children eat" by Joanna Blythman has brilliant advice for feeding children

No toddler ever starved themselves. Try and relax about it and don't even discuss food at meal times. If he eats, he eats and if he doesn't, he doesnt. Offer him what you cook for youselves normally and don't offer lots of alternatives. Just chat about other things and have fun.

Not strictly true. I know of a child, who admittedly has several problems, autism included, who stopped eating and ended up in hospital, repeatedly.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss you are right. There are also plenty of reflux kids who will starve themselves
