had a very busy weekend and i am shattered - my ds (almost 3) is getting up earlier and earlier - was always 7 (fine), then 6 (not so great) - over the weekend it has been 5:30am - he is up and ready to go - but still tired - so grumpy (as we all are!).

give me some hope - is this going to be improve!!

I feel your pain and would love to give you hope. However I wish my 3 1/2 year would just sleep through the night!

my DD did this last summer...it ended up being 5am and was ridiculous! So I got some blackout curtains and said to DH that this summer, I will bring her into bed with us but I am NOT getting out of bed before 6.30.

Touch wood - she is sleeping pretty good and it was 8.30 starts on Saturday and Sunday (not bragging, totally unheard of in our house though!)

Also if I hear her awake I don't go into her unless she's crying. If she's chatting I just roll over and go back to sleep Smile

YANBU is wishing for it but my experience is that it might not happen Wink my 2 are 6 and 4 and I can count on one hand the times they have slept in past half 6.

Wish I could telk you that you get used to it but you don't!

I second blackout blinds and a refusal to get up at silly o'clock. Worked with my DD. Perhaps a grow clock as well?

i have black out blinds and curtain liners - i think he just wakes and that is him! must google grow clock - sounds interesting! also on a mission to get dinner and supper into him (difficult as we have a short window between getting home and bedtime!)

nice to know i am not alone - i have a a SIL who likes to boast about having to wake hers to get ready for school - although she never mentions how many times she is up during the night - only hear that from my brother Grin.

guess i'll just have to get used to early nights and early mornings for the time being Smile
