To leave the kids in the house whilst I pop to the co-op - quick reply needed

I need some potatoes. Dd (11 ) is watching a film. Ds (9) is on the iPad.

The co op is a 5 min drive away. I can't send dd as the walking route is up a lane with no pavement and a horrible blind corner.

Dh is working away today

I have a mobile. Dd has a mobile with mine & her grandparents numbers in. Next door neighbours look like they are out.

Mumsnet poll please.

They were fine but epic fail from me as because I had my phone in my hand I ended up leaving it on the counter!!!!!

Had to go back again.

I know I'm too late, but ,at I say how refreshing it is to be able to say YES GO!

Usually, people who post this are leaving the baby asleep in its cot and the 4 yr old playing with matches watching tv

yes

I am pretty over protective (I thought) but I have recently started going out for 10 mins max to post letters, and leaving ds (7) if he doesn't want to come.
I say " Any problem, run to the neighbours".
(My neighbours are 2 old ladies who are always there.)
