to think this recipe on the BBC site is too complicated?

Yet another example of how out of touch the BBC is with Joe Normal. There's a recession on, food is expensive and they are churning out unrealistic recipes aimed at people with a large food budget, well-equipped kitchen and sophisticated tastes. Sod those of us struggling on a limited budget and lacking in professional training.

Wayy to complicated. What kind of person has the time to shop for those ingredients and spend time preparing a dish such as that.

It's the bay leaf that threw me off. How posh do they think I am?

Luckily my culinary skills are top-notch, so I was able to made this for last night's dinner party. I substituted the bay leaf with some shaved truffle which I bought on a recent trip to Tuscany. Was sublime.
