I am having a panic and hoping someone may have some inspiration or "inside info". Currently staying in Norfolk (Norwich way), and staying with friends near Hunstanton on Sat night....but have nowhere for tomorrow night at moment!!! There are 4 of us, me - DH and 2 DS 4 and 6. I have searched late rooms etc but little joy so far...anyone know of anything that might not be picked up by those big websites? Hoping that the mega brain of MN might have some ideas!

Do you want to stay near Hunstanton?
Pop into tourist info tomorrow, near to where you want to stay, I would have thought they'll help you find somewhere.
Try a B+B nr Castle Acre, that and Oxnead Hall are nice.

ThePortlyPinUp · 30/05/2013 21:53

I'm not far from Hunstanton, I'm in Gt Massingham, I shall have a think of where to suggest.

ThePortlyPinUp · 30/05/2013 21:54

Yes there are some lovely B&B's in Castle Acre :)

SarahJinx · 30/05/2013 21:59

Whereabouts are you looking? Or is that the point? So, loads of nice places between Narch and Hunny, do you have a car?

Standingonlego · 30/05/2013 22:03

We have car! Problem is that most places seem to be fully booked :( Current front runners seem to be Heachem Hall and Caley Manor Confused. DH is googling like mad Smile

Castle Acre a bit further away than we really wanted (and it is sort of on the way home) but all looks nice

There's a huge Travel Inn in King's Lynn; about 15 miles away from hunstanton. Might be worth trying if you can't find anywhere else.

Skinnywhippet · 30/05/2013 22:08

Have you tried the Victoria at Holkham?

SarahJinx · 30/05/2013 22:09

Crown in wells is nice, Blakeney is tiny and beautiful, lots of nice b&Bs and more luxe hotels. Red lion at Stiffkey, to be honest, the whole coast road from wells to bunny is beautiful, loads of pub/b&Bs you can't go wrong. Brancaster is beautiful, Daley hall lovely. Hope that helps?

SarahJinx · 30/05/2013 22:12

Blakeney hotel, meant to post.

For b&bs try visitnorthnorfolk.com.

Holt is nice, bit swanky, bywords for posh b&Bs, Orr for proper lovely, the hoste in burnham market is incredibly gorgeous.

SarahJinx · 30/05/2013 22:14

Grrrr bunny = Hunny, bywords = byfords!

MrsCosmopilite · 30/05/2013 22:16

Have a look at Alistair Sawdays special places to stay.

Various options on accommodation type, although what availability is like, I'm not sure.
Hope you get something sorted out.

Blondie1984 · 30/05/2013 22:16

Have you tried airbnb?

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 30/05/2013 22:17

We've managed to book through the tourist board on a busy Saturday in Bournmouth before now so I am sure you'll be able to find somewhere tomorrow.

Standingonlego · 30/05/2013 22:28

Hello! Thank you all for your help. We have just booked the Red Lion at Stiffkey Smile
