If you are that sick that you are thinking of going out in public in a onesie, then you probably warrant a home visit.

OnceUponAThyme · 30/05/2013 15:13

YABU. onesies are the work of the devil Wink

DuttyWine · 30/05/2013 15:17

But it's sooo cosy, went to an outdoor "fun" day this morning and it was really cold and couldn't get warm until I put it on. It's a 2 min walk on a secluded road, I will pass a closed Indian restaurant a dentist and a possible brothel... If I throw a long coat on it might just look like jazzy harem pants...

YABU they should never be worn outside the house.

CorrStagnitto · 30/05/2013 15:21

do it

DuttyWine · 30/05/2013 15:22

That's it I'm doing it, all I needed was one person to indulge me. Smile

It's a lovely sunny day here, about 19 degrees I reckon.
Surely onsies have been packed away for the winter?

CherylTrole · 30/05/2013 15:28

Haaaa you were gonna do it anyway! Good luck and if you get any "looks" dont fret they are just wel jel Confused

trashcanjunkie · 30/05/2013 15:31

I'm emotionally and morally supporting you to the doctors in your onesie.

sagfold · 30/05/2013 16:02

I think if I were the doctor/in the waiting room your onesie would cheer me up no end!!

2rebecca · 30/05/2013 16:24

Just don't moan that you are too hot when sat in the waiting room. You'll be classed with people who let their kids chomp crisps in the consulting room making everything smell of cheese and onion, people who always carry a bottle of fizzy pop with them that they plonk on the desk and old ladies who turn up in their bathies (slippers).

SixPackWellies · 30/05/2013 16:28

Oh I saw someone in the waiting room yesterday in a onesie.

she was 18 months and so cute.

I am that parent who gives their DC crisps though while waiting to keep them quiet. Blush

Wishiwasanheiress · 30/05/2013 16:31

Ach go for it. People judge for something! Might as well be onsie-dom as anything else! :)

SixPackWellies · 30/05/2013 16:37

True. Had no idea people would judge me for giving crisps in the waiting room. (organic, goddamit!).

Mind you, under another nn once I admitted I gave my toddler toast in church to keep him quiet. Good heavens, did I get slapped down!

sagfold · 30/05/2013 16:53

TOAST! IN CHURCH? Were you excommunicated?

SixPackWellies · 30/05/2013 16:55

No.

Am treasurer.

Grin

crap have outed self.

xylem8 · 30/05/2013 18:04

If you are any older than 9m then YABU

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 30/05/2013 18:07

Only if you have broken both your arms so badly that you cannot dress yourself.

2rebecca · 30/05/2013 18:12

It was cheese and onion crisps in the consulting room the GPs complained about, although anything with a strong smell in a waiting room isn't a good idea if full of people feeling sick. Give them jelly babies instead.

whois · 30/05/2013 18:14

If you are a slim and beautiful 19 year old rah, first year at uni, with perfectly back combed bed head hair, in a OnePiece not a regular onsie, then YANBU.

If anything other than that, YABU.

KatieScarlett2833 · 30/05/2013 18:17

I wore one for 12 hours including work on comic relief day. Never again.

musicposy · 30/05/2013 19:04

Do tell why never again, Katie!
Was it the jufgemental looks? Or the overheated feeling?

I'm just jealous because I once bought one and then DH, not knowing this, made some comment about how he could never fancy anyone in a onesie, so I quietly passed it to DD

So OP, beware if you want the doctor to fancy you. Try a short skirt and low cut top instead?

stephrick · 30/05/2013 19:18

I was at the doctors this week, we have a village surgery and a young girl wore slippers. All the elderly people dress well, as did I, I think it's a respect thing. No ONESIES NO SLIPPERS. Make an effort.
