It's my birthday today.
Not a major milestone one.
Only my mum, dad and DP have remembered.
Feel really sad about this.

Happy birthday!

Don't worry, I think a lot of people will be in the same boat. The only people who remember my birthday are my parents, DH and a friend who shares the same birthday.

I really don't understand the attitude that we should all ignore our own birthdays as they're only for children - I don't think there's anything self indulgent about enjoying (or expecting) families and friends to offer their regards or a card or present, and I think it's completely normal to want to celebrate. Happy birthday Fatty Flowers and Wine hope you have a lovely evening.

Happy birthday!!

Try not to feel too sad, I'm sure your friends have just got a bit caught up in the day to day & will have a bit of a cringe when they realise - they can make it up to you next year! Grin

Have a big glass of wine & a wodge of cake in front of the tv, its your birthday, you can 100% self indulge!

Sorry, nothing personal. I said it wasn't a popular opinion.

happy birthday

I am the worst person for remembering my friends birthdays unless they plan a night out or tell me I would be clueless. I Try to remember children's birthdays but sometimes I am late sending a card or present. They all know this and it does not mean I don't care about them, could you not call someone ask them to come round and share your wine?
