Have the religious people ruined my child's nap? AIBU to feel like my human right have been trampled?

OK, not the second part, that is just my tired, addled brain creating reasons to get them banned.

DD (2) two days in a row was woken at the very beginning of her nap by religious types at the door. The same ones two days in a row. Regardless of the fact that they were politely told we weren't interested the first day. Now, DD won't nap. DH wasn't so polite the second day and they haven't been back. These are the same ones who keep talking after I have shut the door in the past and also insist on knocking and ringing the bell.

AIBU to think that if there is a heaven and if there is a gatekeeper I believe neither that people who wake sleeping children after having been told will be refused and redirected to a special kind of hell. One where they have the migraine I had yesterday and a grumpy toddler who screams, "NO NAP" at them repeatedly.

If they are JW, you can contact the local HQ and ask to be taken off the list, apparently.

MrsTerryPratchett · 28/05/2013 16:48

Really? That's great.

Just get a super soaker then, and spray the bastards liberally from an upstairs window.

It won't solve your child's broken sleep pattern but you will feel avenged...and I'm sure God would understand Wink

You have my deepest sympathies.

Yesterday morning my husband woke me, after being up half the night with 5 week old baby, to tell me there was someone here to see me. I throw on some clothes, go into the living room to see 2 JWs sat in the living room. Husband had only gone and bloody well invited them in. Apparently he thought it was the health visitor Hmm.

CuttedUpPear · 28/05/2013 17:16

I actually split up with my XP because he saw no reason not to enter the house loudly talking about himself when DS was having his hard-won nap.

Even though I had asked him repeatedly not to barge in being loud.
He kept doing it.
It was the last straw.

I still remember my despair and it was 16 years ago. Reader, I dumped him.
(There were a few other reasons but this is the one which helped me see the light).

Westie and CuttedUp I will remember to kiss DH tonight as he chased them away asked them not to wake DD again rather than waking her himself or asking them in Shock
