or what I should do to be healtier, happier, smarter etc?

never mind media scaremongering, but my MIL just does my head in

her latest gem is: vaccines are stored in mercury so DD, who's just had MMR and is poorly, should have a bath with bicarb of soda to flush the toxins out!

No, just NOOOOOOOO! Angry

even if any of that is/would be true I don't want a fucking lecture! I'm exhausted and was not asking for advice!
why can't she just say "yes, staying up till for with a feverish whimpering baby sucks"
AIBU? am I?

MrsTerryP out of interest, how did your friend get mercury poisoning?

amazingmumof6 · 20/05/2013 10:39

I must also add that when I had a MC ( confirmed by 3 people at the time, baby had no heartbeatSad) and chose to have ERPC instead waiting for a natural "clearing out" my mum was really critical and had a hard time understanding that it's not the same as an abortion.

Mintyy she has weight issues and spent a considerable amount of time on a tuna diet. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. This was quite some time ago and her doctor is still dealing with it.

Mintyy · 20/05/2013 14:22

Oh no, how awful!

amazingmumof6 · 20/05/2013 15:51

It is awful. She is one of those people with everything against her; allergies; weight; depression; single and childless but doesn't want to be; shit, stressful job. Lovely person as well. Funny and kind.

Could you ask your MIL if bicarb works for all of that stuff too? I could be the saviour of the day.

amazingmumof6 · 20/05/2013 17:25

sure, sure. if not bicarb then colloidal silver or "magic drops" made of herbs....

or you could tell her that it's all in her mind! so caring..Wink
