Coming to stay with me next week for a few days - nice girl - think i need to make an effort to take her a few places - any ideas apart from the Bull Ring?

Her DF, my DB, says she'll be happy enough staring at her phone and laptop, but I think he's BU and I should show her some sights, but not sure where they are myself Hmm

I visited brum for the first time not long ago. I asked my brummie mate what I should do there. he said "drink heavily"

The NT back to back houses are great for a guided tour. They are the last existing ones and are next to the theatre. You need to book a time slot online but is fairly cheap

Triumph - that was my perfect night out 20 years ago when I was at Birmingham uni! Oh the memories... Grin

EduCated · 15/05/2013 22:43

Nah, it's all about Snobs and Top Nosh for the saltiest chips known to man.

Only cos I can't face Mr Egg after my friend downed a pint of vinegar in there. Then threw it up.

ImagineJL · 15/05/2013 22:48

Think Tank - I take my kids there and often think I'd like to come on my own so I could actually read stuff.

Electric cinema is good. Check what's on first. Maybe team up with dim sum in Chinese quarter as round the corner. Place on corner opposite archadian has a big selection. Other than that out drinking round Jewellery quarter, shopping mail box, botanical gardens or cannon hill park if its a nice day. Not sure most 22 year older want to be dragged round the local sights. Have you tried asking her what she wants to do?

CADBURY WORLD!

HazeltheMcWitch · 16/05/2013 10:31

EduCated - MrEgg is closed now. There was some news story, was someone blinded by having vinegar thrown at them?

(may have got the story wrong, but it's def closed)

RightsaidFreud · 16/05/2013 10:35

Afternoon tea might be nice, try hotel la tour or hotel du vin. Maybe the electric cinema in the evening, then somewhere in the arcadian for dinner/drinks?

EduCated · 16/05/2013 13:04

The original Mr Egg or the lesser, newer one?!

Mollymom · 16/05/2013 14:26

Mr Egg is still there saw it with my owns eyes last night

Tryharder · 16/05/2013 14:35

We took the DCs to Cadbury World which we enjoyed. Not sure if it would appeal to a 22 year old.
