AIBU to think this is my best chance ever of having a thread in Classics?

So, I run. Having given birth to 3 DC, I have a minor issue with wee coming out when I run. Discovered some time ago that the Mooncup, which I already thought was a fabulous device, could fix this problem.

Tonight I was in a bit of a rush getting ready (in fact, got changed in loos of local soft play centre). Put Mooncup in, got dressed, went running. While running thought things down there felt a little... odd. Wondered if perhaps it hadn't unfolded properly or summat.

Got home, tried to remove the bugger. Couldn't find it! Was literally rummaging around for it. Thought for a few minutes it might have vanished into the Pouch of Douglas (yes, I have been here that long). After much 'bearing down' and contorting got hold of the edge of it and whipped it out.

Had put the damn thing in upside-down Shock

Moral of the story: engage brain when inserting Mooncup. Please share any similar fanjo-related mishaps to make me feel less stupid.

Right ladies, I am off for that Wine. Thanks for your company on my thread. Think of me when you have a Mooncup-related mishap Grin

missingmooncup I already use the larger size! Sad. I might try again though, especially as I did love using it.

As an anatomy pedant, your pouch of Douglas is intra-peritoneal, between the rectum and uterus, not up your vagina.

MissingMooncup · 15/05/2013 06:45

Thank you Heebiejeebie am happy to be corrected (v. happy!) Was reference to a long-ago, classic thread about a missing tampon, IIRC. Grin

Blimey, up the wrong way?! Makes my eyes water a bit! I love my mooncup, I've not tried weeing with it in as I have a heavy flow (you're welcome, ladies, enjoy breakfast) so am often emptying it when emptying my bladder.

Some use it to keep the man junk in there when TTC? I've done that inadvertently, but I've no desire to TTC as of this moment, genius idea though ha!

Just read whole thread in cold light of day - God I love MN. Where else could this discussion have taken place? Grin

I need to buy a mooncup, I love running but need an industrial size tena!!
Please someone link me to the missing mooncup and sex with a new man thread and the Pouch of Douglas one!
The weekend is looming and I could do with a read!

I just wanted to add that my mooncup has the opposite effect and makes me as incontinent as a mouse. Sad because I really love it but this side effect makes it increasingly useless.
