To be cross that I haven't heard from DP since he left the house seven hours ago?

I'm a bit miffed (and worried actually) that DP hasn't called since he left to go to work at half six this morning.

I can't get hold of him as his phone is out of signal (but text messages are being delivered )

He's been where he is before, and I know in the past he's managed to call me by walking to a different area (not far at all) to get some signal.

I know he's busy at work, but he usually always calls early morning on the weekend. He's with a friend of ours and I've texted her and asked her to get him to call me, her phone's not picking up calls either (and no they're not having an affair )

I know phones are crap and I understand that the signal is dodgy where he is, but it's not like him to have not called by now. I know I'm probably BU but I'm a bit cross and getting worried now. :(

There will hopefully be a simple explanation.

Why are people being so horrible? It is odd when someone does something out of the ordinary such as not ringing when they normally would or being several hours later home than normal (say).

Just because she is concerned doesnt make her needy or deranged (nice!)

My DP normally ring me at 3.15pm and I normally ring him at 10 pm to say goodnight.

We would both worry if we didn't get our usual phone call but we always leave it to the person who is actually at work to be the one to make the call.

Is he home yet?

I can understand why the op is worried though - if someone always does one thing then suddenly changes then of course you would worry - whether reasonable or not something that is out of character will raise a concern.

I hope he's home now. Or has at least called.
