To take dd to a wedding tonight with suspicions of slapped cheek?

Slapped cheek has been doing the rounds at dd's school the last few weeks!
Dd yesterday had very rosey cheeks (unusual for her), a mottley kind of rash on tops of arms, legs and chest, a sore throat and a slight temp!

Today cheeks still look on fire but not really any other symptoms apart from a slight mottled type rash on arms!

We are invited to a wedding tonight!
AIBU to take her? Do we need to stay home?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

As soon as the rash appears, the child is non-infectious. She's already been a danger to pregnant women, she isn't now. You can go to the wedding and you aren't being selfish.

I was admitted to hospital last week for several days, due to complications of slapped cheek.

Had to leave my EBF baby at home while I was in too.

I wouldn't be too chuffed with you if I caught it from your DD tbh, although I know it's horrible to have to miss a wedding.

It's really dangerous for pregnant women You wouldn't take her if she had rubella, would you?

Having said that, I'm not sure how long she is contagious for.

She's not contagious if she's got the rash . Why don't people read about fifth's disease (slapped cheek) before they post?

DS had slapped cheek 2 weeks ago. As soon as you know they have it (if the rash has appeared) they're not contagious anymore.
