To say it is about time that BROS did a reunion?

I've had enough of waiting.

New Kids On the Block have did it. Take That have, too. Why haven't Bros got on the old reunion bandwagon?!

Come on blokes lads! I have my Grolsch bottle tops attached to my shoes, my denim jacket covered in button badges and stonewash jeans all ready and waiting. Make and old woman happy.

I bet you liked Brother Beyond.

BEYOND SHIT. That is what they were.

AtYourCervix · 02/05/2013 11:23

Ah yes. That's the one. I might have had a small fantasy that I was that blond girl.

brunette123 · 02/05/2013 11:24

no not them I liked 5 star, Kim Wilde, pretty girls not girly boys.
What did Brother Beyond sing? The harder I try?

I cannot believe this thread is now on its 2nd page lol

We want Ken
We want Ken
We want Ken

MarmaladeTwatkins · 02/05/2013 11:25

Didn't it turn out that none of them were gay?

Shocked.

AtYourCervix · 02/05/2013 11:26

And a bit Blush

They were quite shiney were't they.

SarahAndFuck · 02/05/2013 11:29

It's alright Marmalade.

Craig was the one I had the crush on most out of the three of them. I used to wish he would hold me the way he held his guitar.

And when my friends and I mimed the entire PUSH album (actually tape, both sides!) and forced my mother to sit and watch, Craig was the one I pretended to be.

What made that even cooler was that my friends were TWINS! Yes, twins, so we were like the female Bros and obviously destined to be their girlfriends and since I was the non-twin like Craig then that just proved he was meant to be mine.

I shall now leave MN immediately and throw my lot in with the Netmums, so shamed am I at these admissions Blush Grin

HazeltheMcWitch · 02/05/2013 11:31

Right, I was a Brosette. Mainly cos my sister was.
But looking back, their songs were a bit - well - shit, weren't they?

NettoSuperstar · 02/05/2013 11:32

I loved Bros, they were the first band I ever saw, when I was ten Grin

YoniOneWayOfLife · 02/05/2013 11:36

I still remember the Trevor and Simon sketch of them dressed as old men, one pontificating about Bros, philosophy and posing existentialist questions such as "when will I be famous"

To which the other one quickly replies "for a short period in the late eighties" Grin

HazeltheMcWitch · 02/05/2013 11:36

Trevor and Simon...

Now THEY should reunite.

MarmaladeTwatkins · 02/05/2013 11:42

Their songs were NOT shit! Shock

I used to look forward to poring over their lyrics in Smash Hits. And trying to decipher coded messages from Matt to me.

Grin at Sarah. Me and my best friend used to FALL OUT over who was going to marry which Brosser. No-one ever wanted Craig, Matt was the top one.

ChablisLover · 02/05/2013 11:44

i loved Bros! my first ever gig! Lol!

I had the grolsch beer bottle top

and I think Craig has aged better in that link than the other two - hes actually looking quite attractive Blush Blush

AtYourCervix · 02/05/2013 11:48

I loved Matt. My mate Emma loved Luke. Passionately and slightly scarily. Our other mate had 'better' taste and liked U2.

MarmaladeTwatkins · 02/05/2013 11:49

Craig is looking like any dad down the school.

I remember seeing Bros and one of them had a jacket on that lit up. I thought it was the baddest thing ever and SOBBED for one for about a week afterwards. Cue Ma Twatkins making a jacket that lit up by poking all holes through a jacket of mine that was too small and poking fairy lights through the holes. Then I couldn't actually walk around in the jacket because I had to be plugged into a mains :(

OP posts:
Panzee · 02/05/2013 11:52

Marmalade I am crying at the thought of you in your lit up jacket not being able to be more than six feet from a socket! Your mum was ace to make that.

MarmaladeTwatkins · 02/05/2013 11:53

I used to just have to stand by the telly. Hmm

Now, with the advent of bettery operated fairy lights, I could make a mobile light-up jacket... Grin

AtYourCervix · 02/05/2013 11:54

Now that's a dedicated Brosette. Grin

Katiepoes · 02/05/2013 11:55

If anyone wants a Grolsch bottle seal for their shoe I will send them.

squoosh · 02/05/2013 11:58

MarmaladeTwatkins I am hooting at the idea of you in your illuminated jacket! Such a shame that the plug socket limited you from showing that garment to the world! Grin

P.S Bros were dire. Craig is laughing now, he's better looking and more successful.

squoosh · 02/05/2013 11:59

I was an EMF girl. Was slightly to extremely obsessed.

Imagine my jealousy delight when I discovered that a MNer had shagged my favourite member!

AtYourCervix · 02/05/2013 11:59

I think Craig would very much enjoy meeting you in your light up jacket. I think you should write to him.

Mugofteaforme · 02/05/2013 12:01

Marmalade "God, Craig has not aged well."

Mr Tea and myself think he looks bloody good. Are you sure you're not still seeing him through teenage eyes? :)
