Trying to register, my 11year old nephew fancied it, but no space on the online form for anything other than ms, miss, Mrs, Dr, rev or prof in the title space. Is it women only?

OP posts:

seriously OP there are lots of 5k / 10k runs every bloody weekend

lots of charity races you can all do - or things like Parkrun or Colour run

ONE bloody event aimed at women and you are getting yourself in a lather

just sign up for a different run and ask people to sponsor you Hmm

I am running 10k this Sunday for fun - with men and everything - but surely one fucking women only event isn't the start of the revolution

Since this has been dragged up again, I'd just like to point out than any be-penised people are absolutely entitled to run in R4L as long as they identify as a woman that day. No need to even go to the trouble to shave off their beards.
There you go OP. Problem solved.

Rather than crying about how they should take part in a women’s only event, perhaps men should work hard at helping themselves and their male peers become less intimidating to women?

Anyone who objects to this is just looking for an excuse to have a sexist moan. It’s not like there aren’t loads of other races they could take part in.

I know its a zombie thread but there are many male only cancer research things.
Movember (it does get some stick on here)
don't be a spanner check your nuts (screwfix etc.)

I'm not sure that manontherun is still going.

But maybe the point here is that couples or families would like to do something together. (yes I know that there is race for life families but that is women and children as far as I recall)

Completely agree CherryChasingDotMuncher, and yes, I do know it's a zombie thread!

There's something in my area called Miles for Men which I believe only men can enter (to raise money for prostate cancer I believe). Just thought it might be worth a look to see if there's something similar near to you Smile
