To think sitting in front of a computer isn't looking after our 6mo?

In the mornings I occasionally get the luxury of a half hour lie in when my dh takes our 6 mo dd. Only problem is he just goes on the computer and has her on his lap. I don't feel happy with her sitting in front of a screen for such a long time and would really like it if he played with her instead. I brought it up with my dh and he thinks I'm being unreasonable. AIBU?

I think you are being a bit precious and are definitely being unreasonable.

I'm dreadful then, when its my morning to be up the TV goes on to keep the kids quiet, I get a drink without which I can't function first thing. Quick look at the papers, Eventually get round to changing / feeding the children. They seem quite happy. First thing in a morning should be low key and slowly getting going.

When DS was 6 months he rolled about on the floor with toys, sat in a bouncy chair or was in a sling on my back. He seems to have survived.

Don't worry OP, soon your baby will be a young toddler and annoy your DP by whining, refusing to sit still and bashing the computer keys.

And then swiftly she will be two, demand he makes her breakfast and she will tell him that his choice of websites is rubbish and command the laptop herself.

It will all work out in the end.
