Bright red nail varnish at school

...on a 9 yr old. Tacky or cute ?

Mrs Jay it was the redness that concerned me. Somehow, little nails covered in chipped sparkly pale pink varnish wouldn't have evoked the same response. The intense red, and the almost professionally neat application, on a grown woman would have looked vampish which is why I thought it looked off on an innocent child.

Rhonda of course nail varnish per se doesn't affect academic performance or behaviour, but then neither would dyed hair, lipstick, shoes with heels, tattoos etc. none of these are 'right' for nine year old schoolchildren.
