In my local paper

"For Sale - 32 piece set £10 - Tel no XXXXXXX"

It has been in for three days now, and NEED to know what it is!

I think it's either a dining set or parts from a drill.

Bogeyface · 23/04/2013 23:18

Gin it was under "Household" so no clue!

My money is on him checking the paper, feeling like a dick and not replying :o

I still think dining set.

You might look to see if there's another ad in the next issue that more properly explains what the set is... Grin

Keepthechangeyoufilthyanimal · 24/04/2013 14:50

I am DYING to know what it is!
Please come back and update if you find out!

Keepthechangeyoufilthyanimal · 26/04/2013 09:56

Bogeyface did you find out what it was?
I'm still curious! Grin

Bogeyface · 26/04/2013 10:24

It is still in the paper under "Household" and the same ad so no further on!

RING THEM!

weeblueberry · 26/04/2013 10:40

Or tell us the number so we can call him. Maybe if he gets a few people asking what the set is made up of he'll realise he's not listed it properly Grin

Justforlaughs · 26/04/2013 10:40

Give us the number and we'll all ring him, one after the other! Grin

Justforlaughs · 26/04/2013 13:14

Cross posted weeblueberry
Did the OP ring, I NEED TO KNOW!

UserError · 26/04/2013 13:24

It's a mold of a badger set, broken up into 32 pieces?

Justforlaughs · 26/04/2013 13:27

I'm so bored I've tried googling the ad! I think I need to get a life!

SavoyCabbage · 26/04/2013 13:35

And did you find it? That's what we want to know.

Keepthechangeyoufilthyanimal · 26/04/2013 15:54

Grin @ Justforlaughs

WafflyVersatile · 26/04/2013 21:11

I reckon it's meant to be 3 piece suite but they've fucked up the listing.

ElectricalBanana · 26/04/2013 21:14

sprocket set

WellJustCallHimDave · 26/04/2013 21:51

It's got to be cutlery, surely. If it was a dinner service the seller would have responded to the question with, X dinner plates, Y number of tea plates, Z cups and saucers.

That he has only replied to ask if you're joking sounds like he's selling cutlery and was offended that you were asking what it's made up of when it's (in his foggy mind) farking clear that cutlery means knives, forks and spoons!

PigletJohn · 26/04/2013 22:35

it is exactly the right number for a set of teeth.

Bogeyface · 26/04/2013 23:19

www.burtonmail.co.uk/Home/

Right, it is in there somewhere and I take no responsibility for mad MNers!

OP posts:
Bogeyface · 26/04/2013 23:22

I take it back, it isnt there now! I wont post the number so I guess this one will always be a "I wonder......." :o

OP posts:
YoniMontana · 26/04/2013 23:22

I want to know what it is! The poor guy will wonder what the sudden surge of interest is due to!

lborolass · 26/04/2013 23:24

Is it a tool set? I couldn't find the advert on your lnk but I bet it's been placed by a man who doesn't realise that not everyone is as blokey as he is.

Someone ring and report back Grin

I love reading the letters in local papers.

^RECENTLY I took a walk with my dog to Stapenhill Cemetery to take my relatives flowers, as I do most weeks.
I went to my nephew?s grave and noticed a grave which I had to walk past was open, with the coffin inside.
I found this very upsetting.
I looked around and waited to see if any workmen were about, waiting to fill it in, but there weren?t.
At the office I asked if it was going to be covered over as I thought it was very disrespectful, not just for me but for the deceased whose coffin was on show.
A woman got on her mobile to try to find out, but the only reply I got was that they were too busy digging another grave.
Show some respect, please.^

Yes I can imagine it wasn't very nice but what does she expect the paper to do?

Sorry for the slight hyjack

mrswoz · 27/04/2013 10:42

oh Confused

Anyway, I think I might place a similar ad in the local paper next week. Maybe including the words '2 pieces missing' Grin
