My kids get given far too much chocolate and I get given far too little.

Given its health implications, Surely it would be wrong of me NOT to take some of theirs wouldn't it?

YANBU. You are only thinking of them. That's what good parenting is all about Grin

YABU - it's not stealing, it's protecting them from obesity. just don't let them catch you

ImTooHecsyForYourParty · 14/04/2013 16:29

Not only do you owe it to their health, you have a duty as their parent to teach them the vital social skill known as Sharing. Take half.

Or the even more important How To Deal With Disappointment

and take the lot.

Yes take it and bin it.

NettoSuperstar · 14/04/2013 16:33

YABU, chocolate is not that nice.
If they have crisps or cheese, steal that instead.

LagomOchLyckaSwede · 14/04/2013 16:40

YANBU.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice yourself for your DC. It might hurt you, but for their sakes, you will have to suffer and gorge yourself on their chocolate. Sorry.

TigerSwallowtail · 14/04/2013 17:14

It's called being a good parent Smile, you're only thinking of them afterall...

headlesslambrini · 14/04/2013 17:18

YANBU

It is an essential skill of life to learn how to deal with disappointment, you are teaching them a life lesson. This is the job of the parent.
