To think Ocado should deliver to North Lincs?

PeaceandFUCKINGLove · 13/04/2013 21:48

I feel deprived of home delivery options. Thanks to our lack of Ocado, I am left at the mercy of Asda and Tesco who are both (locally at least) incapable of delivering orders without missing items/lots of short dated stuff/damaged items yadda, yadda, yadda and a small Sainsburys which doesn't have a great range.

I WANT OCADO. Angry

Its not fair, its just not fair.

Am I being unreasonable? Grin

Loving the name rowgtfc72.......similar inspiration to mine then?? UTM Grin

MushroomSoup · 14/04/2013 17:42

Oooh I'm NE Lincs too! (Obviously not as much a footie fan as you two! Although I did have a kitten called Mariner once...!)

Rowgtfc72 · 14/04/2013 18:05

Ladymariner, had a season ticket for years and went to games for 26 years and then DD came along and put the kybosh on that ! She did go to her first town game at six weeks though ! Yes UTM, bring on Wembley and get out of this Sunday league and all that !Grin

CoolaSchmoola · 14/04/2013 20:09

I couldn't find anything in Mumsnet local for NE Lincs at all...

I clicked on it because I was chuffed to see the the thread title as it proved I'm not living in a black hole lol!

ladymariner · 14/04/2013 23:54

Couldn't agree more rowgtfc72 we don't deserve to be conference, and hopefully we won't be for too much longer! I too am a season ticket holder, have been for years, and ds is now, he didn't really get a choice in the matter as his godmother, another eternal optimist season ticket holder, buys him it for his birthday present every year Grin

So good to know there are other NE Lincs dwellers on here, hello to you all xxxx

Rowgtfc72 · 15/04/2013 10:34

Coola I used to post in mumsnet local and still have it in threads Im watching but its very quiet over here!

Wannabestepfordwife · 15/04/2013 10:41

Oh stop all you NE lincs posters your(I can't believe I'm going to say this)....... Making me homesick

wreckedone · 15/04/2013 11:38

We're in Hull but moving to N Lincs in the summer. Nice to know there are a few fellow yellowbellies on here! My lad was born in sunny scunny.

GibberTheMonkey · 15/04/2013 13:52

They don't deliver here either, north norfolk, and I live in prime picking grounds for them.

poshfrock · 15/04/2013 14:00

Ooh I'm in North Lincs too. I use Tesco for home delivery and have to admit have never had a problem with them - always polite, friendly, on time and no weird substitutions. But I would love Ocado. Have tried Abel and Cole but no joy.
Slightly off topic do you find it really annoying when you fill in a form online and have to select your county from the dropdown list and North Lincs IS NOT THERE ? I have a DN postcode so we always seem to get lumped with South Yorkshire. Have to say I'm very excited to find more North Lincs MNetters though.

ouryve · 15/04/2013 14:02

YANBU, but they should start delivering here, first. Or Waitrose, even - I've seen Waitrose delivery vans just 4 miles away, but they don't deliver here.

Boredwench · 15/04/2013 14:54

Lol funny topic.... I wouldn't say unreasonable but a tad... How do I say this.... Precious.

No wonder people think MN is a middle class clique when a region is judged on its propensity to high end supermarkets.

Reminds me of that scene in Bridget Jones where Mark's fiancée is complaining nothing works outside of London..

wreckedone · 15/04/2013 20:19

tbf, even if Ocado did deliver to where we're going to be (Barton), I wouldn't use them. I'm still working out how to explain to my hubby that there isn't a Morrisons there though Shock

YouYoniLiveTwice · 15/04/2013 22:42

wrecked if I remember correctly, the nearest Morrisons are in Scunthorpe and Laceby, just outside Grimsby.

thermalsinapril · 15/04/2013 22:48

YANBU

quoteunquote · 15/04/2013 23:19

they don't deliver in Devon

thenightsky · 15/04/2013 23:20

Another North Lincs MNer here Smile

My MiL works in Lincoln Waitrose and often gets bits for me. My nearest supermarket is Tesco at Market Rasen, which is tiny and hopeless for a big shop.
