Jeepers, mns getting a bash this week.

cant link or id show you. at end of peice she says were basically a bunch of strangers fuelled by boredom, envy, and and the knowledge therell be no consequences whatever bile we spew....????

i mean, yes theres a lot of trolling and abusing the talk guidelines but media coverage is not saying the good things about mn.

disappointed in VF, shes normally mostly good.

Come on own up which one of you it Vanessa?

WhinyCrabbyPeople · 09/04/2013 22:07

I think Vanessa Feltz googled herself and didn't like what people had to say about Vanessa Feltz. I think she's a bit marmitey; you either love Vanessa Feltz (I do!) or hate Vanessa Feltz.

Vanessa Feltz.

Vanessa Feltz.

Such a satisfying name to say Grin.

hedgefund · 09/04/2013 22:08

oh i really like her show on radio london and listen in alot :( still she is known to hate most social media so not really surprised.

WhinyCrabbyPeople · 09/04/2013 22:08

X-post, unchartered.

Grin

Vanessa Feltz.

Well we all seem to like her, maybe someone should spew some bile, she must be dissapointed?

UnChartered · 09/04/2013 22:10
Grin
usualsuspect · 09/04/2013 22:11

I'm all out of bile.

LadyBeagleEyes · 09/04/2013 22:12

I'm disappointed in Vanessa, she's always had a good reception on here.

marjproops · 09/04/2013 22:17

thats what someone said on the Chat forum, VF usually gets good press from mn. oh dear, oh dear........

OP posts:
Rowlers · 09/04/2013 22:18

I'm very surprised that so many posters like vf. I think she's a publicity - seeking bore personally. That she is jumping on the mn bashing bandwagon says it all. Daft bint.

AnyFucker · 09/04/2013 22:20

Awww, Vanessa, what did you have to jump on the cheap bandwagon for ?

I like you. You normally have some spunky, feminist-friendly and original thoughts to impart in an engaging fashion

What a pity you turned into a bore today

Hayleyh34 · 09/04/2013 22:20

Well yes, apart from the fact that mn is just a website, good and bad. Some people on here seem to view it as a way of life and are SO outraged when anyone has a go at it. To be fair there is a lot of toss on hereGrin

BOF · 09/04/2013 22:22

There was a thread once about slebs in real life. Everybody on it who had met Vanessa spoke about how lovely she was. Without exception.

There was also a LOT of sympathy for Amanda Holden after her tragic loss, understandably- many MNers have been there themselves. It's still perfectly acceptable to have an opinion on her rather cruel behaviour towards the vulnerable Susan Boyle though, when she publicly mocked her on the Allen Carr show (Youtube it, it's shockingly unkind). I think it's a bit rich of her to cry bully after that behaviour, actually.

The right-wing tabloids really seem to dislike ordinary women having opinions. It's alright when it's high profile ones prepared to push their agenda though, it would appear.

CrapBag · 09/04/2013 22:22

I quite like her. Shame she is slagging us off without really knowing the site. I do think AIBU is not the best advert for MN as it attracts a lot of unpleasant comments but the rest of the site is great in terms of advice and support.

I love it here and don't give a shit if some slebs and the press are slagging it off. I have my own opinion thanks VF and AH.

WorraLiberty · 09/04/2013 22:24

Oh Jesus VF does my nut in.

She talks a mile a minute and very rarely sounds interested in what other people have to say.

In fact if someone else does grab a chance to speak, it's only because she's drawing breath.

marjproops · 09/04/2013 22:25

Grin worral.

TheCrackFox · 09/04/2013 22:26

Well, I still like Vanessa.

She probably was on a very tight deadline and just chose an easy subject. It is not like anyone under the age of 90 actually buys the Express anyway.

BOF · 09/04/2013 22:29

This is true, TheCrackFox Grin. I also like Vanessa too; she seems like a very bright and warm woman.

Hayleyh34 · 09/04/2013 22:30

Must live the irony of people slagging off a woman's opinion and then saying it's because the media doesn't like a website where woman have an opinion. Why is someone's opinion not valid just because they're a "celebrity" ?. This is kind if what they were talking about. I really do feel that mums eat is getting very beige and predictable

Hayleyh34 · 09/04/2013 22:31

Why does my phone correct of to if? Bastard thing

WorraLiberty · 09/04/2013 22:33

Never mind if/of

I'm laughing at 'mums eat' Grin

SucksToBeMe · 09/04/2013 22:36

I saw VF on CBB and thought she was fab. She should become a m'netter. I think she would enjoy some of the fiery threads we get.

Go on, you know you want to Wink

BOF · 09/04/2013 22:37

I think you are confusing people disagreeing with the validity of an opinion with them dismissing their right to express it, Hayley. As it happens, there are plenty of opinions I disagree with on here (and quite a few people I consider a bit dim, if I'm honest); I just don't write off the usefulness of the entire site on that basis.

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM · 09/04/2013 22:38

There was an entire thread dedicated to her recently, after she stood in for Jeremy Vine on R2.

All very lovely comments IIRC, only problem being the OP got confused and the thread title was Vanessa Phelps Grin.

If it wasn't for that typo VF would never have slagged MN - she'd have backed us! Wink
