To bloody love my cosy bed.

DH is working late so I decided to come to bed and it's so cosy and comfy and warm. It's better now than it ever is when DH is in it. Why do we have to share our beds?

AIBU to think that having a bed each would be a more practical idea? I love my husband but he's large, hairy, sweaty and he sleep gropes. I also love to sprawl out which doesnt work when he's in it. He doesn't agree on separate beds.

Just back from visiting relatives and sharing a double or king duvet with dh. Hell! How on earth are you meant to be comfy fighting over and tugging at the duvet all night? Also that wind tunnel of coldness in between...uurgh! Confused

If we had a spare room I'd be there in a flash. Wouldn't have to listen to dh snoring or worry about disturbing him by reading or going to the toilet. Could even catch up with masterchef - in bed! And have a ticking alarm clock!

YANBU

If we ever get a house with a bigger bedroom, I'm buying a super king bed. DH gets really hot at night and chucks the duvet over me. He also sweats copiously

Anywhere strange, I always miss my anatomical pillow and separate duvets. Apart from that, a nice, warm bed with a medium firm mattress will do me just perfectly. Ideally in a quiet, dark room with the bed side turned against the wall. And dh in another room.

I love my bed! We have a king, and while the house really isn't big enough it's wonderful!

While I allow DH to sleep in it, there are very strict rules which he ignores and lots of lovely pillows of every stuffing, from flat and hard to fluffy down.

It's lovely.

Haha! No not like that way!! Just upside down Grin top to toe like a sleepover Grin

Although i did once get so drunk i woke up at the foot of my sisters bed - my bil was not happy!

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and as a consequene neither of us is sleeping well. DH spent the weekend in the spare room. The first couple of nights were bliss but by night 3 I really missed him Confused and he's come back in. For us, I think occasional separate nights will help but I couldn't do it all the time!

We bought a massive super king size. It's 6ft wide so it's the same width as having 2 singles together.

We are thinking of moving and we love our bed so much that the top criteria is that our bed has to fit in.

Buy a BIG bed!

For me, bed and sleep, is the no. 1 greatest pleasure/necessity in the world. I love my cosy bed too (though I don't have to share it, except occasionally with son). I also love sprawling in it. I love having my own duvet. Whatever's necessary to make it as good an experience as possible I would say go for it!

I think the separate duvets is also a great idea to try. If you do have separate beds, you can still be be flexible. Some nights you might be fine sleeping together ...
