I just did and It nearly drove me to eating all their Easter eggs! Luckily Lego is a favorite toy in our house both with Dd and Ds!

Aibu to wonder what toys have you spent a fortune collecting?

Lego and Sylvanian (lose half the bits in 20min) families!!!

A rough tot up takes me to over £2000... I have stopped counting to lower blood pressure!

My DP is unabashed to admit that it isn't DS he buys the Lego for, but himself. We have every Star Wars set, Hobbit set and Lord Of The Rings set. We must have £5000 worth of Lego. What's worse is he has a glass shelving unit and half of it is displayed!

It was dd1's 10th birthday yesterday. Everyone got her Lego (currently into Chima), I totalled up how much it cost last night - £250! Shock Thankfully I paid less than a quarter of that, but I mean - bloody hell! I don't even want to think about how much all the sets upstairs total up too, probably nearing the £1000s. Shock It's even taking over my bedroom now as there's no room left in their bedroom to bloody store it! Hmm DD1 is adamant that all models have to be on display and cannot be dismantled. [sigh]

I am just home from Hamleys with the DC's... Shock. Add £120 to the running total!

God we have so much lego, DH and I spent the evenings of the christmas holidays in 2012 remaking up all the sets and rebuilding it all. Do mean to do it again as DSs now old enough to build sets themselves but it took hours - and they have probably be given or bought themselves a third more lego since then! DH has been buying himself star wars lego from ebay as well Hmm

DS1 very into skylanders but got a carry bag for them all for his birthday so they can call be put away neatly. DS2 has already asked for Disney Infinity for his birthday in July after seeing a big display in Game the other day - will be this year's Christmas toy I'd imagine.

I reckon we have at least £6k - purchase value - of Lego - the result of two lego obsessed boys x 11 years x christmas + birthdays!!

I upped our home contents policy when I realised how much it was worth - and tbh that is probably a conservative estimate Blush

we threw away most of the boxes but even then, the resale value of a lot of it will be more. We have a lot of star wars - the entire lego City builing construction sets, trains, buildings etc etc etc - boys now nearly 13 and 12 and tbh don't play that much anymore. They got all the Lord of the Rings sets for Christmas though. We have all the instructions, but the lego itself is all mxed into numerous underbed storage and crates stacked in the built in wardrobes. They have some rare characters and also have the programmable NXT stuff too.

I don't grudge any of it though as it has all ben played with and enjoyed and will be saved for their children I think. OH keeps saying we should flog it by the kilo but i am overruling him.
