I got this redbike for my DDs 1st birthday next week!
It turns out that DPs sister has also brought DD a bike, DP told his sis we'd got her one and she said 'never mind now shes got 2' [buhmm] when i showed her which one we'd brought she said 'oh it looks like a boys bike the one ive brought her is nice and girly'
Is it boyish? I cant take it back i got it about 2 months ago.

Why would you take it back??? It's very odd for someone to buy something like a first bike for a child without talking to the parents first. Your DP's sister needs to return her present.

Shes got her a peppa pig trike, (strange since DD has no idea who peppa pig is) think its from argos so could just change it for vouchers, i'll get DP to sort it, its his sister after all!
Glad i havent brought a 'boys' bike!

Yup , it's his sister, let him sort it out.

That trike doesn't look as if its suitable for a child under 18 months anyway. If you have the room to store an extra trike and have room in the garden for lots of peddling, I suppose you could keep hold of it for a year + for guest children.

Yanbu. Boys' bikes and girls'bike pisses me off massively! "boys'" bikes tend to be sturdier...and why do girls' have a crossbar???

Girls don't ride around side saddle in a hobble skirt anymore!

But I HAVE to ask you why you're saying "Brought" when you mean "bought". Hmm?? Why? Grin

My Dd has an actual "Boys' bike" and rides it happily. It's yellow and white.

We barely have the room for my DCs bikes as it is so we cant keep it.
NeoMaxiZoomDweebie hmm because although i got and A in my english at school it clearly didnt do me any good sorry! [bublush]

Can't stand pink for girls, why are so many transfixed by this concept? Speak to your SIL and ask her to return it. Or if you can return it then all the better as you can choose the replacement.

The trike you chose is neither masculine nor feminine. Hope you have a lovely birhtday for your dd.
