that's about it really, just found out by his son saying "did mum teach you to cook that? " had to force it down.

This isn't about a Thai green curry, it's about a worrying level of insecurity - focus on that. Is it you or is he not doing enough to show you you're the one?

TheNebulousBoojum · 29/03/2013 18:48

No, just curious if you were still in the early stages of the relationship.
You seem to realise that your response is irrational, and that he has an ex and a son and therefore some history.

TheNebulousBoojum · 29/03/2013 18:49

Maybe she isn't the one, I couldn't cope with that level of insecurity for long.

Nagoo · 29/03/2013 18:50

There's lots of other things his ex might have taught him. It's best you don't think about that very hard.

IWantATowel · 29/03/2013 18:50

I'm sure it's me, I always get like this in a relationship. fucked if I know why. I'm glad it's me though, better than the alternative, kick up the arse most appreciated.

TheNebulousBoojum · 29/03/2013 18:52

What's the alternative? Confused

HildaOgden · 29/03/2013 18:55

Ah,I don't know.I think it just jarred with you, getting an unexpected reminder of his previous life like that.

Don't overthink it.(hopefully she taught him to clean up the kitchen after it too Smile )

IWantATowel · 29/03/2013 18:56

the alternative is that my head is correct in thinking that... um ... he still loves her maybe? or he's cheating? or wow I really need that cbt

OP posts:
HollyBerryBush · 29/03/2013 18:57

cbt? what is cbt? (sorry)

IWantATowel · 29/03/2013 18:58

Dear lord your insecure!

Snog · 29/03/2013 18:59

YABU and frankly childish - how are you going to have a good relationship if this is how you think?

LittleBairn · 29/03/2013 18:59

You are.

TheNebulousBoojum · 29/03/2013 19:00

Moreover, how is his son going to cope?

LittleBairn · 29/03/2013 19:01

Maybe he just likes the dish! It's as simple as that really.

TiggyD · 29/03/2013 19:03

Get over it. After all, Hitler invented Rice Crispie cakes.

IWantATowel · 29/03/2013 19:06

Aww that's unfair about his son, it's just a feeling I had, no overspill, all our kids get on brilliantly. plus I just showed bf this thread and he pissed himself laughing and bonked me on the noggin.

OP posts:
aldiwhore · 29/03/2013 19:07

To be fair, a good Thai Green Curry isn't difficult, so his ex wasn't Delia or anything...

Just think "She's a biatch, she had sex with my bloke at some point, I dont' like her but fair play the bitch could cook" then at least in your mind you are TRYING to be reasonable.

You're actually sounding like a human being so don't worry, if I'm honest I probably would never eat Thai Green Fucking Twatting Curry ever again, and probably never go to Thailand, just well, because.... however, that WBVU. And you did ask Wink

If I were you, put a 'comedy' spin on it that will make you giggle, first thing that popped into my head was the (the feminist within cringes) The Mad Lads.... She could cook, she could fuck, she could do the washing up, but insert DP's name had enough, she's gone, fucked off, shut up... never of course relay this to anyone if you wish them to think you're sane, but giggle inwardly... outwardly you'll be THE most reasonable person to have ever walked the earth. x

aldiwhore · 29/03/2013 19:08

MAC lads ... never thought they'd get a mention on AIBU.
