I was working away in the back of the house when I check my work emails. the email says... Next delivery courier has delivered to the front of your house. our house fronts onto a busy main road, so not wanting it to be nicked I rushed towards door.... only to find delivery package in middle of front room rug. We have a small terraced house, so i'm freaked out that I didn't notice he had entered.
AIBU to think random people shouldn't enter the house? (would usually be locked but DH had left it unlocked on way to work, grrr).

Secondly and now this is MORE annoying. I ordered a tankini from next maternity sale. I clearly checked that it said 'tankini' and not 'tankini bottoms, or tankini top.' it is just the top. maybe I am being unreasonable and a tankini is the top part only? its annoying as now I will have to buy a separate bottoms!

sorry, I know this is trivial in the great scheme of things!

I deliver wine to people (yes there are female delivery drivers too) and ive always got requests if out to go round the back and put it various places and if its a new customer it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable, going into someone i dont knows private space . Saying that ive got a regular who is disabled and he likes me to go round the back and open the kitchen door and leave it on the top . Also have a few who leave their outer door unlocked and i take it off the latch once ive put the wine in. But your delivery driver has a lot of moxy to just walk straight in , i would never dream of doing that unless asked to.

Just put a note on your front door, asking for deliveries to be left outside. And then complain about the delivery person when your stuff gets pinched.

They absolutely should not enter your home. Complain!

Funnily enough my Next courier did something very similar. I was in the back part of the house and my friend arrived (who just walks in with my approval) and asked me what I had been ordering. I asked her what she meant and she said "Well what is in the parcel at the bottom of the stairs". My delivery person had entered the house and put it in the hallway without me even noticing. It may be that we have the same dude or this practise is ok'd by Next couriers. Mine doesn't even knock now but just throws it over the back wall because he expects me to be out. I always lock my door now!

we had a delivery of flowers.... they climbed over the back gate and left them in an outhouse......I was amused by their resourcefulness. DH was appalled at their cheek!

I can't believe so many people have front doors which just open without a key. Burglars sure must have an easy life in the UK.
