The situation is that I am on my 5th round of IVF with two embryos transferred and was delighted to find out I was pregnant - I have had two BFPs before that did not progress. Last Friday, i.e. 5 days ago, I did the Clearblue with conception indicator and it gave me 3+ weeks. The hcg threshold for 3+ is 2000 miu/ml. On Monday I had a rapid loss of pregnancy symptoms, which I have experienced before so is a familiar feeling. To be certain I had my hcg done at the clinic yesterday. This morning they have phoned to say my level was 1160 and were adamant that this was a good sign and consistent with an ongoing pregnancy. I said I was not in any way convinced and that if it had started to go wrong on Monday wouldn't it be this high and they said not. You are meant to have 48 hours between tests but were happy to do another one for me today, which would show if it was falling at least. The only bit of hope for me is that one embryo has failed and the other progressing, but I don't believe so as I feel so empty. When it is working, I experience the pregnancy like an electrical current in my body and when it's gone, that feeling goes. What do people think? I know I only have to wait until tomorrow to find out, but that seems like an eternity... thanks for reading
