My 4 will have an ascetic Egg Hunt in the snow. With one creme egg. Although I'll tell them there's 2 as it keeps them occupied for longer.

Then thye can learn the true Spirit of the Season by sharing it.

My way is roght and true. No ipods or Ugh boots for mine just coz it's easter.

Grandparents get an egg for each of mine and we might buy a couple of small packets of wrapped tiny eggs for a hunt. Great fun.

DS is too young for eggs (so I will have to eat all his) but has a new outfit to wear on Easter Day.

I always used to get a new outfit at Easter, I think it's an Easter tradition to have new clothes and that's why the Easter bonnet tradition started. (Any excuse for new clothes).

Mine get a chocolate egg each off us, and then chocolate eggs off the grandparents and a couple of aunts and uncles too.
I ration them out so they don't just dive straight in and scoff the entire lot, although I was reading an article in the paper somewhere today that maybe it's a better idea not to ration them, and let them self regulate their intake so they get a sense of self control when they've had too much.
So maybe I'll just leave all 777,000 (or something like that) Easter eggs they usually get in the middle of the floor and tell them to help themselves.
They'll either eat some and then stop when they've had enough yeah, right or fall face first on the carpet in a sugar chocolate coma.

My little boy is too young for loads of chocolate (18 months) he will have a tiny bit and we are taking him out for the day somewhere, not too sure where yet but nothing extravagant! More about family time & both me and his daddy being off work rather than it being Easter.

I may get them toys instead of chocolate when they are older (2nd little man is due in June) but not iPads and other stupid stuff that is meant for teenagers and adults IMO.

Got my son three pounds of egg (in money not weight), in laws got him an egg and two shirts and he got a small one from church last year so might this yr. He had two small eggs last yr and finished eating them on new years day so might last all year this year.

As a child, my parents disliked buying chocolate for us because they worried about our teeth, so we were given a small toy for the same price as a chocolate egg. I always enjoyed that.

As Christians, we celebrated Easter on purpose. We came from a slightly different perspective, I guess, because we looked for a way to celebrate something we valued. If I wasn't a Christian...I'd still have a chocolate egg though. Yum.

Our kids get a present from us at Easter instead of an egg, not usually that much, around £10 - £15 each.

When they were younger it was toys, now it tends to be books. It started because DS's birthday is only a week before Christmas, but it means we have to do this for DD who's three years younger too. They get around half a dozen eggs each from other people so they're happy. :)

I'll be starting DS off with a breakfast of - creme egg in an egg cup, served with hot chocolate and a pain au Chocolat, and following that a lunch of Lindt Rabbit Fricassee in a nutella gravy. For tea he'll probably have something light - marshmallows in a chocolate fondue.

I'll add them to my shopping list Hotcross..... I was delighted to see a version of Hot Cross buns made with real Belgian chocolate in M&S. You know, incase there isn't enough chocolate to consume over the weekend. Perhaps Pizza Hut will switch cheese for a choc filling in their stuffed crusts for the holiday too.

We always got toys at easter, my and my sister both xmas birthdays too so wonder if that has something to do with it?
I have gotten small summery (wishful thinking...) toys for DSs that I would have gotten anyway, only now I don't have to get them chocolate too mean mummy

DS is getting some mini eggs... And an Easter present. Saw something he's been asking after for ages reduced dramatically in the sale, but still cost too much to be a 'just because' present. So it's in my wardrobe and he's getting it for Easter. If his birthday was before November, I'd wait until then, but I can't wait that long seems unfair to ask him to wait eight months.

I have brought my DD who is nearly one a soft easter bunny that she grabs everytime we go shopping. As DS will have easter eggs and i think shes too young for them so i thought id get her something. But other than that no toys!

I do Easter presents as neither child has chocolate (the younger one is a baby and the older one doesn't like chocolate or sweets).

They both have a little gift box and my three year old has a Matchbox toy plane and two Wow toys pocket pals figures in his and the baby has two Mickey Mouse rattles.

Only a couple of pound spent on each and my older son will be very excited, the little one wont care, I only buy for him because I have brought for his brother. I would feel mean otherwise.

At least it stops people telling my how horrible I am for not buying my older son an Easter egg. No one believes a three year old doesn't like chocolate or sweets, they assume that I just don't allow him to have it.

I'm another Christmas birthday person who was given presents at Easter. MY parents thought it mean that my sister (early Dec birthday) and I had to wait a whole year to get 2 lots of presents in one go, hence a gift at easter. We're talking £30 max though.

DD2 happens to be a Christmas baby so yes, I am continuing the tradition of gifts, although it tends to be clothes. This year it's pj's and Disney tops. We also have small token gifts (Books) for nieces/nephews and Godsons.

Chocolate will be given by all and sundry and will be placed on the top shelf of the cupboard. Right behind the last remaining Chocolate Santa
