I am so glad I read this thread because I am totally in love with a gay guy too. He works at the same place as me and has the most amazing personality. I went through a funny phase of being all rude and mean to him because I didn't want him to find out. I'm a thirty something single parent and felt about sixteen again!

Yes I'm good friends with her, we used to be flatmates but don't live in the same town now. She lives with her gf and is very happy. I think I will pluck up the courage to talk to her at some point, but only to say stuff along the lines of "any hints about X liking me? Do you think he knows I like him?" etc rather than accuse her of encouraging his flirting. (Feel I have no right to say that as he's not 'mine' to lay claim on!) He's on holiday at the mo so will have to wait to assess progress! Thought I wasn't that bothered about him anymore (out of sight, out of mind) but then he posted a youtube video of his hol and I heard his voice in the background of it... turned me to mush all over again, argh!

I totally relate to the last sentence in your last post too... I also fear I may have given too many obvious signals of attraction and scared him off! It's a waiting game really. Until one of you has the guts to say something or else let it fizzle completely Confused Good luck with your email though, hoping for a response for you. Even if it's not what you want to hear, at least you'll know sooner before you get too entangled. If he responds well but is definitely gay, then at the very least you'll have made a new good friend Smile
