To wonder how on earth our 2 guests use over a loo roll a day?

We have two very lovely, very welcome and seemingly normal family members staying with for a couple of weeks. Neither one appears to have a stomach upset, or visit the loo more often or for longer than average... yet they get through 3 loo rolls every 2 days! We have restocked and are now set for the remainder of their stay, but in the meantime have become mystified, intrigued and now a little concerned for our ancient plumbing.

Are you a heavy paper-user? Can you help explain what is happening here? Or do we not want to know the horrible truth? Wink

Tbh my hubby doesnt use loads of paper but instead spends 15 minutes in there.... that puzzles me, although with a toddler even if I wanted too I wouldn't get that luxury. Personally I go with them eating it..

Btw... laughing at this thread so hard my toddler is laughing at me laughing.

I had a shelf toilet in a former house. When I'd got a plumber round to do something else in the bathroom he was most intrigued "you don't often see those here" etc and then proceeded to tell me they were used "on the continent" so you could "check for worms" Confused Hmm about which he may well have had a point but that had never occurred to me until then. I never even bothered to "look" usually but felt very paranoid about having worms for a long time after in a similar way I suppose to feeling itchy when someone starts talking about nits.

Our toilet (installed by the insane people who used to own the house) is like a shelf toilet but with the hole at the back. It is utterly terrible and requires a ludicrous amount of cleaning. We will be replacing it (along with the rest of the terrible bathroom).

I have absolutely no idea what DH does with loo roll. Sometimes I put a new one in the bathroom in the morning and it is almost gone by the time I get home from work. DS is a nursery and DD is in nappies so I know it's him. DH is a 5-shits-a-day man and it seems that each requires a ginormous wadge of bog roll which then doesn't flush properly

I think he has a problem.

5 poos a day? I'd be an envelope of a woman if I did 5 poos a day!
