At 48?

Without much of a pension. And a teenager. Single mum. Scared!

If you have no income and you are not claiming, what exactly do you live on?

Lone parent and with some pretty tight budgeting I have 3 months income saved with a separate account that I use as a holiday fund but can dip into for emergency car repairs etc. I have had to cut 'extras'way back though. Its amazing how much cash can just disappear on pointless stuff. I have a smallish pension but am just starting to pay into a new workplace pension and my job is pretty secure. I would also be eligible for some of Exs pensions but the cost of sorting that would probably outweigh the value.
