To be shocked how little boundaries the teen parents of the boys have in rgards to sleep allowing them to play x box till 1am on a school nite Confused and they are saying this is almost every nite

Whats wrong with the uk parents have they lost all back bones the only tech my ds has in his room is a stero

Why can people just remove the dam things a keep mobiles till moring are people that scared of there children

I know why they mention this consistently at parents evening children being tired

If a child can go to be at 1am and still work ,behave well and get up with out a fuss then fair play but i dont think this is most children

But good on the mums with smaller children doing a fab job

DS1 has an array if technology in his room (including several different consoles). It makes no difference to the fact that he goes to bed at a sensible time. He's been reading for about an hour and I'm about to go up and tell him it's lights out (he's 12). I've never had an issue with him staying up. He'd never dream of playing Xbox when he should be sleeping.

That is one family though. It's not a regular occurrence.

But the issue is not that they have an Xbox in their rooms; it's that they don't seem to have form enough boundaries. I'm not going to judge the mother though because I don't know anything about her life or circumstances.

A tv program will pick families guaranteed to hook an audience. Its not representative of anything apart from good viewing. How boring would it be to watch the huge majotity where the kids go to bed at decent hour with no issues.

Sometimes children fall asleep in class for other reasons than the fecklessness of their parents. I used to fall asleep in class at secondary school. And fall asleep when I went home. It was a medical issue.

Pull down the judgey pants a bit and you'll be much more comfortable.
