to hate the term "booby juice" and other BF equivalents?

What's wrong with calling breast milk breast milk? There seems to be an obsession with giving it a crunchy (hate that term as well), hip alternative name. Recent ones include:

boob/y juice
mummy milk
vanilla lemonade (WTH!?)

Am I alone on this? (BTW I am very pro BF, just don't see the need to give funky names for it)

I am currently BF my 2 week old DD and haven't called it anything other than a feed yet, can't imagine what I would change it too!

DP however calls it "boobage" and best friend calls it "udder juice"

YANBU. It is just milk in this house, I don't even use a different word for cow's milk in a carton in the fridge, that is just milk too.

DD1 used to call it "DD2's milk", but (although DD2 is still feeding sometimes) doesn't really see it now, so has stopped referring to it.

DD2 is under the impression that breasts themselves are also called "milk"; have not yet corrected her, as I think it is quite sweet.

Eugh. Yanbu. What a horrible phrase. It's called "my milk" when talking about breastfeeding to DH. I've never had to talk about my milk to DS. He only feeds rarely at night now, and I just shove it in his mouth...no explaining needed. Dd stopped feeding from me when she was 11 months, otherwise she would have come up with some notable names.

I used to tell DD to 'eat your boobs!'
I did it in a funny Mrs Bucket style accent all matter of factly as it was a bit of an in joke... Don't remember how it started but i suppose it must have sounded gross to anyone overhearing! I think the terms you have mentioned though are pretty vile.
(Tmi warning) Like when my DH once referred to labia in an episode of embarrassing bodies as 'turkey gobblets'...i find it incredibly revolting and derogatory.

calling a milk a "juice" is so unreasonable in my book, juices are transparent by nature whilst milks are not has anyone else studied chemistry?

I will over the course of the day compile a list of breast milk because that's it's name alternatives and arrange it in ascending order from most vile to fairly acceptable.

Also concur on baby dancing. It sounds all cutesy and fluffy. It's a shag, people. It doesn't stop being sex just because you want to procreate though it can get rather bloody tedious

in this house it's boob milk or bottle - as ds has formula too. (ie 'ds is hungry, do you want to give him boob milk or shall i make a bottle?' other than that it's not really referred to.)

A girl on FB wrote the other day "8 w/o DD has gained x amount of lbs since birth, she loves mummas milka!" (obviously a twee name she has given as as I highly doubt her DD is talking at 8 weeks).

To which someone else replied "Yeah booby juice is the best, DS is a total tit monster!"

Yanbu. I can't see any reason to call it anything other than milk. If I get to the point where I have a child who drinks both I guess I'd say cows milk. Third bf child/toddler in and it's not been an issue. However, those who know me irl would probably argue that my ridiculous nicknames for my children give me very little moral high ground to occupy

Sooo true landoftute... My sister is one of these that talks about her 2 ds bowl movements- among other things! Unfortunately can't just 'unfriend' her! Also had a friend with twins who referred to his wife as 'becoming ambi-breastrous' which apparently meant able to feed simultaneously from both breasts.
