Iv a 13 yr near 14 old DD, been on my own with her since birth. Anyway iv met up a couple of times with a guy, no sparks, but he works an seems quite nice. When he asked could he call in for a cuppa last night i agreed. So he comes in sits in living room(tiny terraced) with me an DD, DD says hello to him, we chat an have couple coffees. When its time to go he stood up, walked out, but didnT say goodbye to DD. Shes a young adult and even said to me mum wouldnt you of thought hed of said bye? anyway iv gone right off him! But AIBU??

It is a bit rude but then I've left peoples houses & it's occurred to me after that I forgot to say goodbye to someone.
Doesn't really matter though does it as you're not arsed about him?

It wasn't a crowded room where he might have not seen her so it is odd, especially since you were all sitting together and having a chat. Maybe he was a bit nervous around her.

I would think about his behaviour towards her generally, not get hung up specifically on the question of saying good-bye. Did he greet her when he came in, did he make polite and friendly conversation with her at all?

Well you seem to have eliminated him,so no harm done.

Tbh,it doesn't sound like it was going to go anywhere anyway, you didn't feel any spark for him,and perhaps once he sat down having a cuppa he realised he didn't really feel any for you.Who knows?

I'd leave it longer the next time though, before you bring a man home to pass the 'daughter test'.
