I'm a CM. Child (nearly 3) comes from a 2 week holiday saying fuck and shit. Mom comments with me and I say I noticed he saying shit 'shut' but wasn't sure if I was hearing it properly. Following day Dad makes the same comment to me and ask if he learnt at my home. I'm like: WTF? Child has being with me since babyhood and never used swear words before. I told dad that again I may have heard him saying shit but never heard him saying fuck and in anyway I'm trained to work with children and have being doing it for a long time even in a nursery setting before becoming a CM and I know better not to swear in front of kids specially when I'm working. So Dad said they (the parents) may be saying this whitout realising it and told me to ignore the child if I hear he swearing. Honestly I'm appalled they would even suggest child would be copying me or learnt it in my home. But I'm probably over reacting and this kind of situation is part of the job...

Me as well.

And yes it is part of the job to be fair.......

BoringTheBuilder · 14/03/2013 13:41

Well I swear in my head and when interacting with adults but I don't do it whilst children are around. Not even mine.

I work in school and have never sworn in front of (or at) children (except my own Grin ). Most of the teachers swear like truckers in the staff room.

It's a bit rich for the parents to assume he's picked up the bad language with you tbh.

BoringTheBuilder · 14/03/2013 16:15

Exactly. Specially since said child being with since he was a little baby and now nearly 3 is displaying such language starting after stayed 2 weeks away.
