Do they have men at the nursery?

Sorry this is a MIL one. I really like my MIL (she is so sweet and really really helpful) but she was asking about the nursery we are about to send dd to.

She asked "do they have men working there?"

I said "I didn't see any"

She said "good" in quite an aggressive way.

She's BU isn't she. I didn't get a chance to delve any further into her attitude (dd started to destroy her car) but I think she thinks all men are perverts.

There are two men at DD's nursery and it is clear that they are both great at their jobs and the children adore them. I think the adoration is partly to do with the men in question as they are really fun, but partly due to the novelty as they are 2 men amongst many women.

Two male workers at DD's nursery, both brilliant.

No men at DS's school except the care taker. It really needs a couple of male teachers in it

Her reaction sounds like it comes from bad experience or too much Daily Mail reading.

I would avoid this subject from now on if I were you. (Unless you prefer agressive MIL to sweet and lovely one)
