To stick the V's up at Aptamil?

Bastards they are.

Due to the shortage of Comfort milk last month we had to change our daughter back to 1st. All was well apart from her taking no more than 5oz a bottle, sometimes only 3oz.

HV assured me she'd take what she needed. I felt relaxed after that.

Once Comfort was back in stock we bought 3 tubs just in case and thank christ we did! This week has been hell with our poor girl struggling with trapped wind. It was making her literally scream.

Changed her to Comfort 2 days ago and she's draining 6oz per bottle which is a relief.

I had her weighed today and at 15 weeks 5 days she's 13lb 2oz, so has only gained 7oz in 16 days.

So, fuck you Aptamil.

Lets not split hairs - "lousy Ebay" were not selling for £100 - people were bidding an auction up to £100. Big difference.

I don't think it was just Aptamil. Other baby milks were selling out, too. The problem was exacerbated by desperate parents from other countries buying it - I think Australia was badly affected by this.

Local shops were restricting the number of tubs per customer and I totally agree about the selfish hoarding and extortionate prices on Ebay.

Still got some from Ocado, though Smile

Hollyberrybush, there were no tins of baby milk anywhere in any of the local supermarkets and chemists thanks to bulk buyers. That's why they slapped on the restriction.

The formula companies are ALL bastards. I begrudge every bloody penny I spend on formula.

monkeysbignuts · 09/03/2013 12:07

No hollyberry someone had 3 tubs buy it now for £100! It's taking advantage of the situation and desperate parents, I think it's bloody awful.

It was the first time I'd taken her to be weighed at the clinic, won't be doing that again! Just made me paranoid.

This is the reason I put this post up, I love how people aren't afraid to tell you when you're being utterly unreasonable, I needed a firm kick up the arse and brought down to earth!

I am glad you took the gentle arse kicking well Grin
