Sorry but this is not a true aibu, judt posting for the traffic and the hope someone can tell me things will be ok.

My uncle is the closest I have ever hsd to a dad, we have a very close family and he stepped in when my absentee father did not.

Found out recently my uncle has bowel cancer, has an operation to remove a grade 3 tumour but currently undergoing chemotherspy after finding cancer has spread to lymph nodes, liver and spinal cord.

I know this is not aibu just posting for traffic sorry, can some of you maybe share your cancer success stories and keep our family upbeat.

Thankyou

My mum was given 3 months to live , and that was 6 years ago. She had bladder cancer . She now has it in her lungs but it is slow growing! She is strong and positive and never felt sorry for herself . For the first year all we could think about was the cancer especially in the chemo phase, but now we hardly think about it.
My boss at work also had bowl cancer - he was given the all clear last week. He is also a positive person who was determined to keep on living.
I don't think you can get rid of cancer through having a good attitude, but having goals and carrying on living rather seems to help!
Good luck and I hope all is well for your family .
