I feel so lonely night after night nearly 10 years even a spirit or ghost would be great company!

Agent thanks:)

I can't do it on my own:(
I want to leave but need RL support to do it...WA counsellor said I would feel the same anywhere but I know I wouldn't as the twunt wouldn't know where I was living then (hopefully)

Unless I could provide the car reg number the police couldn't help me...I actually ran out 3 months ago but car turning corner and only noticed the year/colour/make/model...wasn't enough!

The attacks stopped 2 years ago when the CCTV went up so that was good.

Here's a link from one of the NHS sites One of the issues is that CBT works really well on irrational fears and phobias. The problem is that as long as your twunt ex is still around, your fears are pretty rational. You could ask your GP about referral to the online courses but you will need support to deal with any ongoing safety issues.

Good luck Thanks

Oh that is good Mrs T I'll ask GP do NHS fund anything like it? I know MIND do a computer based one but it the getting to and back is the problem.

Twunt only possibly around 3/4 times a year I think but I am worried every night. I guess people who are afraid of lightening have same fear but at least they may get a weather warning of when it will strike!

Thanks MrsT and Agent for your suggestions

I think the NHS do fund some online courses but I haven't been around this field for some time in the UK so the Tories may have done away with it that may have stopped.

FWIW, I have/had a horrible fear of flying and live in a different country. I have to fly twice a year at least. I used to take valium and sweat for 9 hours. Now, I am off the drugs and just slightly damp. Smile

Any14T · 03/03/2013 02:55

Well done MrsT as flying is hard!

Being made to go to CBT might be better for me as a goal. The sweating is unreal though even at home Blush twice a day when I have to walk to the end of my path to take/pick ds up from car and back in the house. Mad hey!

You do get DS from the car and back in the house, right? Good for you. It's hard but you do it. That's all it is. A tiny bit more each day.

This sounds awful for you.

What barriers are there to prevent you moving? How could they be overcome?

Perhaps you could start making a plan as to how you could move because it seems like this threat is whats affecting you.

Lueji · 03/03/2013 06:55

Have you tried lizzards, snakes or fish?
I'm sure you won't get asthma.

So sorry for what you have been through, though.

Could you get a cab or something to CBT, so you wouldn't strictly be alone when leaving?

Thank you all for being so lovely :)

I would need to sell my home. I feel so anxious I am imprisoned here. I really want to escape it isn't a home it's full of memories of fear that is still a real threat.

I need handholding through something so big and don't know where to start. I wouldn't want a for sale sign I know that as the twunt would then know.

Could you try some sort of advocacy? They're people (usually volunteers) who can help you say and do the things you find difficult.

On the Mind website they've got some pages about it, and on the 'when can an advocate help' they do mention getting help with housing.

I don't know whether you'd feel comfortable doing it, but there are even self help advocacy groups which sound a bit like hand holding, there could even be something online?
