...when we catch the Pinky Ponk instead of the Ninky Nonk? It actually ruins my evening for 5 minutes!

I like the Pinky Ponk

Typical! Flame a woman when she's already down! Smile

And my favorite episode is the one where the Pinky Ponk goes up to the top of the tree to find the Olly Bolly Dob Dob Tree.

So there!

natwebb79 · 01/03/2013 20:04

To be fair, I am a fan of an enormous ponk! Ok, IABU! Grin

...you need to get out more...!!!

elfycat · 01/03/2013 20:05

Nooooo natwebb we need to start a fight over this issue Smile

Tubegirl · 01/03/2013 20:07

It was Makka Pakka who upset me, i couldn't stand him cleaning dirty rocks with his manky sponge and then doing Upsy Daisy's face with it. I am aware I have issues Grin

elfycat · 01/03/2013 20:08

My first episode was the one where the Ninky Nonk is driving somewhat insanely around the branches of trees while Sir Derek Jacobi keeps saying 'Oh no, it's the Ninky Nonk'. At the time I wondered if there was something sinister about the Ninky Nonk and perhaps this has stayed with me.

Should I go for counselling?

elfycat · 01/03/2013 20:11

As for what I think about Upsy Daisy, her place of work? bed and the 'Only Upsy Daisy can sleep in Upsy Daisy's bed'.

Well It's good to have boundaries if that's your line of work...

DM thinks it's just as well I don't plan to write for Children's TV

Tubegirl · 01/03/2013 20:11

It all makes much more sense if you've had a glass of wine.

elfycat · 01/03/2013 20:13

Is this a secondary Friday night drunk in charge of CBeebies thread?

LeonardoAcropolis · 01/03/2013 20:18

I'm a bit gutted when Makka Pakka isn't in it.

And when they don't have the dance at the end.

Lollydaydream · 01/03/2013 20:19

my 5 year old, after loving ITNG at 2 &3 announced today 'mummy this doesn't make any sense; why doesn't Igglepiggle wear any clothes and when Upsy Daisy dances she shows everyone her knickers and nobody wants to see your knickers.'. Meanwhile her two year old sister was beaming and copying every movement on screen. Is this the end of innocence?

Lollydaydream · 01/03/2013 20:21

oh and yabu the pinky ponk is so much calmer

steben · 01/03/2013 20:23

I bloody love makka pakka

IShallWearMidnight · 01/03/2013 20:27

I know someone who's written some children's TV stuff, and yes, everything we as adults think when we see it, is designed to be in there Wink. I think they all have competitions with each other to see how can be the filthiest, and still get broadcast.

Imsosorryalan · 01/03/2013 20:33

Ha, I used to get depressed when the episode turned out to be about the tombliboos as I knew it would be 10 boring minutes of them fannying around in their den!!Shock

QuickQuickSloe · 01/03/2013 20:41

I love the tombliboos! Hate the stoopid pontipines though.

drivingmisspotty · 01/03/2013 20:51

I like the pontipines, remind me of something from kid's telly in 80s not sure what.

But what's with those big letters at the end. Ha hoos? We always say goodnight to them but are they ever actually seen or mentioned in an episode?

HorryDrelincourt · 01/03/2013 20:59

I feel really sorry for poor slave Makka Pakka. None of the others ever plays with him Sad and they only pay him attention when they want a wash.

The proportions give me the RAGE though. One minute the Ninky Nonk is at knee-height, the next it's big enough to ride in? Fuck. Off.

natwebb79 · 01/03/2013 21:34

Upsy daisy and Iggle Piggle need to get a room. Is there an ITNG theme park like the Peppa Pig one? A Ninky Nonk ride would be amazing. There could be a bouncy ball area, a Ha-hoo soft play area... Can you tell I've been thinking quite seriously about this??

Driving - the Hahoos are there to stop the Ninky Nonk. Please do your research before commenting on such important issues! Grin

YANBU, the Ninky Nonk rocks (literally).

You know for the live show, you have to choose the Ninky Nonk or Pinky Ponk show? I mean, there is no choice. NN every time!

PoppyWearer · 01/03/2013 21:38

Lolly my 4.6yo DC1 also questioned a bazillion things about ITNG tonight "why does the Pinky Ponk have those flappy things?".

18mo DC2 lives ITNG. It is his world. As it was for DC1 at that age.
