to wonder if all is quite right in the Cameron household?

Now this is purely speculation and idle curiosity but I'm wondering if all is right in the Cameron marriage. I can't remember the last time I saw Sam Cam 'on public duties' but perhaps she has been and I've just not seen her? Now I've read this (Daily Mail link) and it just screams at me 'My wife is refusing to have anything to do with me so lets hide that by keeping all other wives etc at home'. Or AIBU and clearly their wives would distract them from talking about tax etc? Hmm

The ongoing strain of living in Downing Street must be huge and when you add in to that their grief for their son I think that's a receipe for danger to any marriage.

Lucy 'parents like them' was short for 'parents in cicumstances of extreme stress like the Camerons were/are'

sorry northern, i misread/interpreted.

As you were ladies - I still think DC is a twat

lucyellen nice to know am not the only one :)

NorthernLurker · 23/02/2013 17:09

I agree with twat Grin

I guess my point in the thread is that I do NOT believe that partners are being excluded because it's a distraction. That's nonsense. There's either a state reason (we can't afford it, one of the partners is a spy etc) or a private reason (sam cam won't do it)

What about gay partners and mistresses. Are they invited? Or is the invitation numbers cut because we are in a recession?

LineRunner · 23/02/2013 17:10

This is the Mail:

But the pared-down G8 is likely to disappoint members of the public in Northern Ireland who will miss the chance to see Mrs Obama, Mrs Cameron and other first ladies.

Grin yeah, right. That's the public's priority in NI right now, to see some sparkly frocks and shit...

MrsJREwing · 23/02/2013 17:14

Sam looks like a happy soul, like Kate, always delighted.

Lucyellensmum95 · 23/02/2013 17:14

But northern - its the Daily Mail - its readers are not inerested in politics, they would much rather be commenting on WAGs Grin Or blaming everything on single parents/immigrants/benefit scroungers or variations thereof.

Lucyellensmum95 · 23/02/2013 17:16

Rosy I think you are onto something - they have banned partners so they can all get off with each other or bring their mistresses, but Obama doesn't have one and loves his wife so they had to cover their arses some how in case Michelle got on the blower to Sam!

Tee2072 · 23/02/2013 17:29

Yes, LR I know I am horribly disappointed about this.

No First Lady or PM's wife? How will we cope here in NI?

Oh wait...I don't think we actually care!

It will just be a money saving exercise.

Sam Cam hosts a couple of charity events at Downing Street most weeks.
