I am getting disproportiantely annoyed by things at the moment, I have PMT a headache, I cant drink wine and nor can I have a cup of bastard tea at the moment. So if IABU that it wouldnt suprise me.

I was putting the kids in the car, woman parked in the next row behind me. Rather than push her trolley the four cars width to the trolley bay, she put it directly in front of my car while I was packing up, making it look like I was the lazy bastard leaving it there.

Feeling hormonal and stabby, I plugged the boys in, took the trolley and said "I'll put your trolley back for you." And did so.

Very passive agressive and childish I know.

But does it bother anyone else?

Its the hormones and lack of wine isnt it?

Since having a new baby I don't put the trolley back. It is a long way from the car, and I'm not leaving the baby alone in it. I don't leave the trolley in anyone's way, and I put the brake on it. You do know they have brakes on the wheel right? So it won't go whizzing in to any cars.

I actually checked at customer service and they said this was fine and apologised for not having anywhere to return them near the parent and child spaces.

If I wanted to carry the baby across the car park I could return it, but at the minute mobilising is still uncomfortable and have been advised by physio not to carry the baby any distance.

So, sometimes people have a valid reason.

Just throwing that in the mix.

alisunshine29 · 23/02/2013 12:47

Sometimes it's safer to leave the trolley rather than return it. I won't leave kids alone in car so rather than make them walk back through cold carpark I'll put break on trolley on path and leave it.

willoughboobs · 23/02/2013 13:09

if some people didn't leave their trolleys around then the trolly attendants wouldn't have a job to do.

MadCap · 23/02/2013 13:19

All you who won't return your trolleys because your babies are in the car are being tremendously PFB. They aren't going to be kidnapped from a locked car or expire in the 30 seconds it takes to return a trolley. Stop being so ENTITLED and LAZY.

"You do know they have breaks, right.?"

No they dont. Its fucking annoying. The ones with the tiny baby seats do. But I dont have a tiny baby.

"So some people have a valid reason."

That wasnt a 'valid reason' that was an absolutely shit reason for being a lazy twat. Put your trolley back.

So....... you were leaving? How was anyone going to relate an abandoned trolley in front of the empty space you'd left behind you to you, you crazer? :o

I do think people should put their trolleys away, btw. I just find the reason you've given for your rage utterly incomprehensible...Confused

Lovecat · 23/02/2013 14:55

Unless of course there was a massive crowd of close personal friends & relatives all standing nearby catsbummouthing you while you reversed out... but even then, you know it wasn't you, why on earth would it bother you what a load of total strangers others think?

TheDetective · 23/02/2013 15:04

They do have brakes. Ive never found one without.

My DP works for a supermarket and he collects the trolleys. He doesn't really care if he has to collect them from elsewhere. He said it keeps him busy and makes the hours pass quicker.

I stated that I had a valid reason for leaving the trolley since the birth of my second child... And that is because I have a (hopefully) temporary problem which causes pain and I can't carry the baby or car seat across the car park, without a lot of discomfort and on occasion, pissing myself. Sorry for being such an utter dick. Hmm

Does anyone really care that fucking much about where the trolleys are left as long as they aren't causing an obstruction and aren't damaging cars. Hmm

I think some people must live charmed lives if they don't have anything more to worry about.

cumfy · 23/02/2013 15:19

YANBU

I find rather amusing, the opinions of the many closet non-returners tho.

Beograde · 23/02/2013 15:23

YANBU, it's the height of laziness

OHforDUCKScake · 23/02/2013 15:41

It was causing an obstruction. Thats the whole p

I don't carry the kids around either, Detective. I leave kids in car, go get trolley, put kids in trolley, do shopping, return purchases and kids to car, put trolley away. It isn't that difficult especially if you have problems that mean you can't carry things. It's what I did when I was pregnant with dc2 and had horrid spd.

MadCap · 23/02/2013 15:44

At least Fuckwittery owns her laziness! Grin

On a side note, how do you use the ones that are left out?!? Inevitably, they're soaking wet.

OHforDUCKScake · 23/02/2013 15:45

point of trolley bays. Hmm.

And the trolleys with tiny baby seats do have brakes. The rest of the trolleys do not. Its ridiculous and annoying yes. But they have none. Just because yiu have never seen a brakeless trolley doesnt mean they dont exist. Seriously, why would I try? Hmm

And yes, you utter dick (your words not mine) put your baby in its seat and put your trolley back. What exactly do you think will happen to your PFB inthe 1.3 seconds it takes for you to stride there and back?

OH, they are the same kinds of people who think it's okay to leave tables full of crap at fast food outlets and expect someone else to clean up after them.

fouranddone · 23/02/2013 15:58

I'll admit I'm a lazy fucker, leave my trolley all over the show. A couple of pinch mnetters ain't gonna change that.Wink

cumfy · 23/02/2013 16:00

I can't carry the baby or car seat across the car park,

So how do you put the children in the trolley in the first place ?

fouranddone · 23/02/2013 16:00

Madcap- I have been known to leave fast food lying around too. You would fucking hate me Grin

fouranddone · 23/02/2013 16:02

Seriously though people are employed to do these things. If we were all perfect and cleared out McDonald's away and put the trolleys in the stupid fucking trolley bay then somebody may lose their job. No?

MadCap · 23/02/2013 16:11

Yeah and then things would cost less. No? Grin
