to think MIL's comment was rude?

Uploaded a photo of me and DH onto Facebook and she commented -

"And I thought it would never last!!!! Guess I was wrong"

At least she admitted she was wrong, but surely keep this kind of thought to yourself?

My MIL has said this before, we've had many ups and downs and I took it quite badly until she finished off with "Sometimes I don't know how you put up with X (DH) I think I'd have buried him under the patio by now!".
Could well be said with affection but worded badly?
