To think that I can't be the only one who would like a better selection of 'bigger' bras

As a 32 to 34 E-F I've alway struggling to get nice pretty and comfy bras in my size. I always shopped at La Senza but didn't realise how awful and overpriced their bras were before I discovered M&S cotton rich bras.

They're amazing, so comfy, brilliant value, great fit, and pretty designs. Only gripe is they have a far smaller selection in their bigger bra range than their smaller bra range. Browsing some of the smaller bras I wish they did those in my size.

I'm hardly massive, I'm not big I'm a size 10-12, I wouldn't say my boobs were huge either so I can't help thinking surely I'm not the only one who finds this a problem.

I also wonder if lots of women are wearing bras too small for them as I know people who say that they're in a 38c when actually they appear to have bigger breasts than me. I know I'm in the right bra size as get regularly measured and fitted.

What do you think? Anyone else have this problem? If lots of people agree I might send the thread to M&S!

Also gutted to see the other thread at max messages. I just measured myself again cause first time i didnt quite lean over 90 degrees because doing so makes me weep :( and measured 35 1/2 rather than 34 Angry

What was your underbust again Jeff?

StatisticallyChallenged · 21/02/2013 16:38

Oh hang on, found it!!! That explains why the DD is a bit small :)

100DaysofSummer · 21/02/2013 17:16

Oh well perhaps this can be the next bra thread.

Maybe we could send the other one to some shops in hope that they'll sort their act out.

yep, do you think a 30E will be ok based on that then?

StatisticallyChallenged · 21/02/2013 19:17

Based on measurements yes BUT the description you gave on the other thread did make me think you may need to go up 2 cups. So don't be scared to try a 30F as well.

I'm a 32f and have lots of pretties. I get measured in John Lewis and shop in debenhams, always in the sale.

FadingAwayToAHippo · 22/02/2013 06:16

Yes, yes, yes!! Yanbu!

I am a 36H, (have actually been a J cup). I went in to my local Debenhams and they had three signs up (in a fairly small dept) advertising up to a K cup. They did not have one single bra in my size, the woman kept offering to bring me bras in different sizes, I ended up having an argument and asked her to stop bringing bras that didn't fit. (She was trying to find a larger back/smaller cup)

I was trying to find a nice bridal bra, Debenhams only do up to a DD cup!

M&S have always measured me wrong and bras haven't fitted (40D the last time)

Bravissimo are shocking, every bra has been ill fitted, once I actually ended up with blisters, when I returned it she said I'd need to wear it in????

So I ended up going to an independent store, oh my goodnes, what a revelation, they were wonderful, now I will never buy a bra anywhere else, huge selection of sizes, bend over backwards, she ordered 6 bras to the store for me, nothing was too much trouble, she actually let me take 3 away to try on with my wedding dress and just bring back whatever didn't suit!

So support the independent shops!! :)

RubberBullets · 22/02/2013 16:54

On the other thread it was suggested I might be a 36J. I tried one and it came up too far into my armpits but have been wearing a 36HH for the last couple of days. I'm changing it for one of my old 42s at night though as it leaves me with deep red marks and I can't cope with that 24/7.

StatisticallyChallenged · 22/02/2013 17:20

A 36HH is pretty close rubber, the cup is much more variable and takes a fair bit of experimenting.

(i don't wear my bras all the time at home either )

RubberBullets · 22/02/2013 21:25

I only wear a bra overnight because I'm breastfeeding. I'll stop wearing one to bed when I stop feeding and don't need the breastpads anymore.

Thanks to all the wonderful MNers for the free bra fitting advice!

I went from a 34C to a 32D under my own steam over a few years.

I'm now sitting in a 30E, and the difference is amazing. For a bigger cup, my bust looks smaller and much, much perkier.
