To be having a lazy day

Dc3 is 2 weeks old, sleeps well through the day and badly at night. Older kids at school, house looks like a bomb site but I'm just so tired I can't be arsed getting myself off the sofa. I've been dozing on and off all day and I just feel so guilty. I just want to be awake enough to spend some quality time with older kids when they come home from school later.
Health visitor is coming to do home visit tomorrow and I can imagine her face when she sees the state of the house!

For god's sake woman don't be silly! You gave birth two bloody weeks ago! Go to sleep and stop being an eejit.

Just rest. Surely you're not really worried about the health visitor are you? Don't worry - she won't care about a messy house if mum is rested and relaxed.

Not so much worried about hv but I don't want her to think im a complete slattern!

Who cares what she thinks? When the HV called round after I had DS I couldn't open the front door fully because there was a pile of old nappies (in nappy bags!) waiting to go out to the big bin. She just laughed when she saw them.

She'll be more 'concerned' if your house is sparkly twattybollocks you just chill. (and congratulations) Smile

It's never going to be sparkly, but it would be nice if there was space on the sofa for her to sit! I won't worry about all the gift bags that I haven't put away yet then!
