A massive, people-carrier BMW parked squarely on the white line dividing two spaces, at Waitrose.

There. Do your worst.

Take a photo and post it on here

Longtalljosie · 12/02/2013 13:05

No, I'm on your side. At our (over-subscribed) railway carpark in the morning there's a 4WD which every day does the same. If you can't park a large car, don't bloody drive one!

ExitPursuedByABear · 12/02/2013 13:05

Maybe she has issues which prevent her being able to park properly, or she is too fat to get out of her car when parked in a normal space, or maybe all the P&C spaces were full, or the disabled spaces.

redexpat · 12/02/2013 13:06

Was it inbetween 2 p&c spaces? Because then the thread would really kick off.

BiscuitsandBaileys · 12/02/2013 13:11

Wow yellowdinosaur that website is harsh! Someone has some anger issues Grin

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 12/02/2013 13:12

Yellow Oh! Wish I'd known about that.

redexpat It very nearly was. She (or he) was parked in one of the spaces right in front of the store - most shops would make them P&C or disabled, but Waitrose in their wisdom have decided to put both much further away Confused

atthewelles · 12/02/2013 13:12

Some people do that deliberately because they don't want anyone scratching their precious vehicle. Someday I will give in to temptation, take out a nail file and .........

scarletforya · 12/02/2013 13:12

YANBU

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 12/02/2013 13:13

I wonder if anyone has looked at that site and seen their own car?

Sugarice · 12/02/2013 13:16

I love YPLAC , the arrogance and ineptitude of some people driving their vehicle is staggering, I've taken photo's of parking twattery and posted.

Serves them right!.

Take a photo OP Grin

LessMissAbs · 12/02/2013 13:17

Terrible! Although to be fair, I think some people park like that because other people slam their doors into vehicles next to them, without caring if they dent or scratch them. Although then at least they could park further away if they want to use two spaces ie the empty bits of the car park.

I used to have a Porsche Cayenne parked half on the pavement, on double yellow lines, every night, just outside my flat. I phoned the police, who referred me to the council, who ticketed it twice. Still parked there, hours of darkness only. The Council told me there was nothing that could be done about it. Now that really was annoying.

LessMissAbs · 12/02/2013 13:18

Wish I'd taken a photo of it and posted it now, as I don't live there any more. It was the worst parking I'd ever seen.

VisualiseAHorse · 12/02/2013 13:20

Oh lord. OH is going to end up on that website. He doesn't do it intentially. He's just bad at parking...

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 12/02/2013 13:23

Sadly they'd gone by the time I came back out. I even hung around for a little while before going in (as long as I could with an elephantine, struggling toddler in my arms) in the hope they'd come out and I could have a nice futile glower. No such luck.

OP posts:
tinygreendragon · 12/02/2013 13:23

I would have written a note saying 'nice parking' and left it under the wipers.

eosmum · 12/02/2013 13:25

Was listening to a parent from dds school who parks like this in school all the time, she was telling another parent to copy her with her new car, as no one will park beside her and damage her car, the dealer she bought it from told her to do it.

dylanthedragon · 12/02/2013 13:30

yanbu

I recently couldn't get into out local Tesco Metro's tiny car park because a Polo had parked with a space for each wheel. The driver had managed to take up four of the twelve spaces! I wish I had known about that website. Maybe they thought it was 'X marks the spot' parking...

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 12/02/2013 13:30

Tinygreen not making excuses, but elephantine toddler also eats paper.

I suppose I could have carved it along the side of the door with my key...

OP posts:
AmazingBouncingFerret · 12/02/2013 13:40

I wouldnt do it but you know... my BMW has loads of paintchips where people slam their doors into mine.

Funny didnt have half as many in the peugeot! Hmm

And no, I don't park like a cunt. Wink

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 12/02/2013 13:45

I do park like a cunt quite often myself, unintentionally, because it's marginally less embarassing than going in and reversing back out six or seven times only to end up a milimetre further over. I have a Skoda though, so people tend to leave me alone Grin

OP posts:
Birdsgottafly · 12/02/2013 13:51

Some of those car park pictures are clearly empty, soi don't see the problem, tbh.

Also, if the van next to you is hanging over their lines, then you have to go over, they leave and you look like the bad parker (i have had face to face arguements about this).

I don't think that a lot of the car parks give enough room.

I need an estate and it doesn't fit length ways into a lot of parking bays, let alone width way and room to get out.

HormonalHousewife · 12/02/2013 13:57

I think that would have been my husband...he tends to do this on purpose Hmm

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 12/02/2013 14:02

That website is hilarious! Thanks, YellowD

PeppermintPanda · 12/02/2013 14:05

Would annoy the hell out of me too, but just to play devil's advocate, it's possible that they had to get a baby seat in and out, or a wheelchair, or other medical equipment. My car is tiny, but when DD had her hickman line and gastrostomy, I had to be able to open the door wide to be able to get her in and out of her seat without hurting her. I don't think I ever deliberately parked across the white though - just parked further away, or on the end of a row.

YellowDinosaur · 12/02/2013 14:08

:o that's a pleasure! It has given me many hours of important job avoiding amusement :o
