DH is away. He would be horrified.

Pele would sue if the bread didn't give him a hard-on!

BalloonSlayer · 08/02/2013 17:28

Perhaps out of date food caused his erectile disfunction.

piprabbit · 08/02/2013 17:28

Are you sure it's mould? Could it just be a stray herb or two?

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 08/02/2013 17:29

Wasn't tesco garlic bread was it? Nothing lasts from there anymore :( there shouldn't be mould one day out of date!

BalloonSlayer · 08/02/2013 17:30

He had one of those bendy carrots. It's very sad.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 08/02/2013 17:31

Our garlic bread is a couple of days out of date, I don't care, it's going in the oven!

I think the green bits I can see are parsley....I'll let you know tommorrow if I'm still aliveGrin

phantomnamechanger · 08/02/2013 17:39

perfectly OK to cut small bits of mould off bread and cheese and eat it - yoghurt a day over its use by is also fine - however, thesedays I also listen carefully to see if it's neighing first Wink

phantomnamechanger · 08/02/2013 17:40

ahem, just in case anyone is in any doubt, i meant eat the bit thats left, not the mouldy bits you've cut off

MechanicalTheatre · 08/02/2013 17:46

Try telling a German to eat mouldy bread. They lose the plot. I was forever being told that even if you cut the mould off, the rest of the bread was simply riddled with invisible mould.

TheCatIsEatingIt · 08/02/2013 17:48

Scrape the mould off, cook and eat the bread. You'll be fine. I wouldn't even check the date on garlic bread.

MechanicalTheatre · 08/02/2013 17:49

Be careful though, it's probably at least 20% horse.

if it looks & smells ok go for it, These supermarket dates are sooooooooooo cautious.

Our ex neighbours used to throw everything out of the fridge on use by date because it was use by date & I mean everything incl the most scrummy chocolate desert from Waitrose - I met them throwing it away when I came home from work & was horrified - they hadn't even opened it - I was going it will be fine you can eat it tomorrow & they were like no it has to be eaten by today - they then gave it me :-) - it was lovely & still lovely 4 days afterwards.
