To think boyfriend shouldn't chuck my stuff away without asking?

I had half a bag of takeaway chips in the fridge that I'd saved from the night before, I was looking forward to microwaving them and he'd chucked them and made out I was a skanky cow for saving them. He's now chucked my stab bear and a pair of my pyjamas.

AIBU to tell him to leave my effing stuff alone no matter how crap he thinks it is?

YADNBU! My dp does this to me all the time, when I'm out. He decides that something I wear is horrible (ie, HE doesn't like it) and bins it. It's happened with chargers for various technical things (because he doesn't ask what they're for) and most recently the 3D glasses I had in a drawer for cinema trips. Me and dc went to the cinema on Saturday and had to buy 4 new pairs. It drives me INSANE!

YANBU. What's a stab bear?

DragonMamma · 06/02/2013 14:06

YABU for microwaving chippy chips. They'd go all floppy and rank.

YANBU for not wanting him to throw your things out - although I would assume that the chips had ended up in the fridge by mistake and thrown them out too. Throwing out clothes is not on IMO. My DH made me sort though my underwear recently as he sorted out a load of clean washing and found 33 pairs of knickers in addition to the few dozen in the drawer...I could see his point this time though.

MrsBucketxx · 06/02/2013 14:08

I was thinking that too valium,

I'm constantly throwing dh's stuff away, if didnt we would have too much stuff.

if you really want to keep something tell him.

ChocolateTeacup · 06/02/2013 14:16

Yes, but he is a boyfriend not a DH YANBU and it is Not His Place to do so

MrsHoarder · 06/02/2013 14:21

I would have thrown out the chips because they are disgusting and will be making everything in the fridge smell.

Pyjamas are not on though, that's clearly your stuff and not to be thrown away. What's a stab bear?

MrsBucketxx · 06/02/2013 14:23

I did when dh was my bf too Blush

if its not needed its going

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 06/02/2013 14:23

yep, don't blame him for chucking the chips, chips the next day I imagine are rank!! PJs, no he shouldn't get rid of them - were they really skanky or something??

I am scared by the thought of stab vest........are you a physcho who needs to stab a bear to get rid of tension Shock. No, am sure you aren't but what the hell is one?

bedmonster · 06/02/2013 14:23

You saved half a bag of takeaway chips? That is pretty skanky Grin
However clothes or other personal belongings is totally out of order.

ihearsounds · 06/02/2013 15:09

This is seriously acceptable behaviour, to chuck put other peoples stuff? Shock Dosent matter if its a manky bag of chips, or a staf bear, shouldnt be happening. Any man who was brave enough to chuck my stuff put would be in a whole heap of shit. I will not be controlled to wear what he wants ffs. Or have only what he likes.
