With their smug faces while they use big musical words I've never heard of and use instruments I've never heard off.

Body music making shit heads. Clapping your hands doesn't make a symbol noise!

Hate most children's shows nut this one is currently annoying me

Weegie We used to sing:

I hate Barney
Barney Hates Me
Barney gave me HIV
So I kicked him in the balls
And shot him in the head
Now that purple basterds dead

Shock That is appalling now I remember it properly!

My brother was obsessed with Barney. He had the creepy barney teddy

I hate little Einsteins! Why, why is it the ones I hate most dd loves?
Between little Einstein and the new fireman Sam I'm at my wits end. Whatever happened to button moon I say?

TantrumsandBananas · 04/02/2013 13:05

Fancy loved the Dora clip.

Yep. Little Einsteins here too...and Dora.

We have gone past the Nightgarden stage. Thank fuck for that. I wanted to stamp on the peg things.

And the rest of the characters from my observations (boredom), were clearly a prostitute, a pervert, and a hermit who lived in a cave and wanted to wash peoples faces.

And the 3 clearly odd music things that lived in a hedge, and their trousers fell down. Flashers.

Pregnant The new Fireman Sam is an abomination! The older ones were so much better.

The new Art Attack is shit as well. Neil Buchanan will always be Art Attack Master Grin

i think i am lucky. DS really likes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and I can cope with that! Baby Jake irritates me when he sings and Waybuloo makes me want to throw things. Its so wet! Quite like Abadas though.

pregnantpause I have a Button Moon dvd for DS (of course!)

ScarletLady02 · 04/02/2013 14:04

We had a Barney one as well...

"I hate you, you hate me
let's get together and kill Barney
with a great big thud and he falls to the floor
no more purple dinsoaur"

God these are bad when you look back on it aren't they? Grin

As it stands, I haven't seen Little Einsteins. DD will only watch Something Special....and Countdown for some reason.

ScarletLady02 · 04/02/2013 14:04

Sorry DINOSAUR

Essexmamma · 04/02/2013 14:05

Yanbu, hate it! Their voices are like nails down a blackboard!

CoteDAzur · 04/02/2013 14:12

YABU and very strange. If you don't know "musical words" (like Crescendo?) how is that anyone's fault, and why should your DC not learn them?

DD loved Little Einsteins as a toddler and learned to enjoy classical music through them. At the age of 5, she was found to be musically gifted and now goes to school in a special class for such children.

DS still loves Little Einsteins at age 3, and I sometimes hear him sing complex violin concertos in tune. I think he might follow in DD's footsteps.

What can possibly be wrong with introducing classical music to young children? Confused

CoteDAzur · 04/02/2013 14:12

Maybe you would be happier with Teletubbies?

AllYoursBabooshka · 04/02/2013 14:36

Seriously Cote?

FightingForSurvival · 04/02/2013 14:38

Cote makes a mature and valid point.

Personally, though I think yanbu, they are smug, annoying little tw*ts

is that anyone's fault, and why should your DC not learn them? Have you even read the thread?!

YANBU! 'Yoooou are myyyyy bestfriend, I-I-I-I louuuuuve you!' as sung by the smug gits has ruined that piece of Mozart music for me, for ever. So much so, that I can't even remember the name of the piece now. Grr!

I don't like the way the programme panders to notions of giftedness and giving small children a headstart. It doesn't. It just annoys, and fills up a bit of time that genius child could be doing something more productive with. Don't get me wrong - I'm not anti-toddler TV (goodness knows CBeebies did us proud, back in the day), I'm just anti-it pretending to be something it isn't.

weegiemum · 04/02/2013 14:54

Aaargh Fireman Sam! Ive said before on MN, there's no fictional more in need of social service intervention than Norman Price!

Luckily, these days my lot prefer "Big Bang Theory" or alternatively, Friends!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 04/02/2013 14:55

Oooh ivegone all hot for diego

AmazingBouncingFerret · 04/02/2013 14:56

Not a sentence i ever thought i would type...

iklboo · 04/02/2013 17:45

The one that sounds like she's saying 'lick, lick, lick' instead of 'look, look, look' really grates.

FancyPuffin · 04/02/2013 18:52

I'd like to lick grown up Diego...
